Got here at 1030am on a Friday. First in line. About 11am there was perhaps 10 of us in line.

Ordered food; 1lb brisket, 1lb ribs 1/2lb, pork belly, one jalapeno cheddar sausage, large salad, and small kimchi fried rice. $120 out the door.

I have followed this place for sometime. Perhaps around 2020/2021, and finally got to try it. Ambience, great. I can smell the bbq a block away. Very clean.

Food was incredible. Brisket is probably the 2nd best I’ve had under Franklins in Austin TX. Definitely the best I’ve had in California. Very tender. Very moist. Fat was very well rendered. Flavor was great. Not nearly as salty as my last franklins experience, which I think my girlfriend preferred.

Sausage had a great snap. Has more than enough spice to it.

The really winner was the Korean Glazed Pork Belly. Extremely tender and just one of the best bites of meat I’ve ever had.

Both the fried rice and the cucumber salad were great sides. Certainly the best sides we’ve ever had at a BBQ restaurant.

Great spot, im surprised it only has 735 reviews, not many reviews on yelp either.

Any how great BBQ spot.
Both burgers were good , but thick burger was amazing.

Half lb ribs, definitely giant, looked big enough to be beef ribs.

Brisket was very delicious also, ask for some burnt pieces.

Frys was also amazing, tasted like mc Donald frys.

I wish mac and chees was not served at room temperature.

Food was good and we were so hungry didnt have time to take pictures.

Ordered an order online around lunch time and then after I had paid it said my order would not be ready for a few hours! However, when I called the restaurant about it they were super helpful and figured out that they could try to get it done in time for me to catch my flight. It was super busy when I arrived and there was a long line but they did have pickup orders over at the bar separate of the line. The parking is located at the back of the building across the alleyway in a private lot. It was full when I arrived but I was able to find street parking within a block. I ordered a 1/2 pound of brisket that came in two hearty strips. The crust of the edge was fantastic. The Mac and cheese I ordered was fantastic and creamy. The beans were alright and the bbq sauce was not for me. All in all a very nice establishment.

I gotta say, I was a bit disappointed with the food. With all the hype and rave this place gets, I would’ve expected it to be mind blowing but it was subpar.

Service is fantastic. Since I dined alone they were kind enough to serve me quarter pound portions instead of 1/2 pound as it says on the menu. It’s already in their POS so I’m sure anyone can get that if asking for it.

Dined Friday around 3pm and although the place wasn’t packed, it was busy and it took about 25 minutes for my food to be ready.

Pork Belly Burnt Ends: I always thought and have had burnt ends that were that – “burnt ends”. Smoked and rendered down to be soft and juicy and tender. These were just big cubes of pork belly that were still tough, the fat was chewy and not re deed enough, and the bbq sauce was overly sweet. I wasn’t a fan and didn’t touch the second piece.

Brisket: this was good, but not so good that it makes me want to return. It was soft with a nice smoke ring, good flavor, but a bit dry. Again, nothing to go crazy for.

Mac & Cheese: good but SO salty. After the first few bites I tried eating it with the brisket and it was still just so salty I didn’t finish it either.

Sadly nothing makes me want to return here

If you don’t like waiting, it’s a good idea to arrive right when they open.
I had to wait about 30 minutes just to place my order after arriving, and then another 30 minutes for the food to come out.I have to say this is the best BBQ restaurant I’ve ever been to. The meat was incredibly tender; you didn’t even need a fork—it just pulled apart beautifully. The seasoning was applied evenly and was fully infused into the meat. The bread that came with the meal was excellent; eating the meat inside the bread felt like having a completely different dish, which I loved. They offered two kinds of sauces, and both complemented the meat perfectly, which was a great bonus.

The last time I stopped by Moo’s I had a CA drivers license. I had no idea on the line, as I needed to be first for my flight. 9am was too early & was the line until about 11:15. but I got work done & got to talk to a fellow bbq lover to help pass the time. First off the brisket. We got too into talking and bit of time had passed since getting the food (my fault), but it was amazing. Just entering my mouth was enough to make it re-melt. A crunchy bark with a distinct chili pepper flavor under the black pepper. In a world where the brisket rub all tastes similar that little touch was huge for me. A wonderful moist rib with a slight sweetness. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had just the right heat that got pulled up and pulled back down with the cheese. kinda like lighting a fire & putting it out without it never getting too hot but wonderfully fun said the pyro. My fav was the pork belly. A beautiful cube of fat & meat. The glaze on it had a sweet soy saucey taste. The consistency was jelly like that didnt seep into the pork keeping it separate to be able to enjoy the natural flavor of the meat. It reminded me of the sauce used for Mitarashi dango in Japan in flavor, visuals, and the viscosity. I had to get the kimchi fried rice. A well rounded flavor with funk from the kimchi and the delicious meat I was gushing about earlier. To finish it off the tres leches bread pudding. I could come in just for this. A bread pudding that is made using pieces of croissants topped with strawberries. The added buttery favor to be a 4th leche lol. the exteriors of the croissant add extra texture that is lost sometimes in other bread puddings. man I need to come back again without having almost half a decade passing by. Everything was so great I still ended up missing my flight. lol worth it.

Best Bbq in LA? If you can fork up $100+ for a plate I say do it. Get the burger- over of the best in LA. The array of options are good even their desserts were flying off the fridge. Fries are some of the best I’ve had. Believe it or not…the meats were even better the next day ..

Absolutely delicious BBQ! The mac n cheese is some of the best I’ve ever had, and was the perfect side to the tender ribs + yummy pulled pork sandwich. The cucumber salad was also super fresh and balanced out our meal. 100% guarantee that we’ll be back!

Short review: Must have.

Long review:
If you want great BBQ you’ve found the best spot. To summarize it, if you like Bludsos, you’ll love this place.
Be forewarned, be there early. It opens at noon but we happened to show up around 11 am and there was already a line. We spoke with a couple who had been there before and they let us know the deal. Shown up early and aim for a Saturday when they have the “Flintstones” beef rib.
We ordered a lot more than we could eat but it was worth it. The beef rib in particular was amazing. The sausages were delicious but our favorite was the jalapeño sausage. Everything was great. They also have a big selection of beers and wine. And the ambiance is nice. The staff was super nice and helpful.

We got there right when it opened and there was already a line behind us. The people taking the orders are quick and give updates of everything while waiting in line. We tried a little of everything the burgers, brisket, sausage, coleslaw, mac n cheese, red potato salad, chili fries, banana pudding and the tres leches dessert. Everything was delicious and the wait for the food wasn’t bad at all. The bartenders were very welcoming and attentive. Awesome service and great food and the sauces were delicious!!! You have to try everything out!
