I remember this place when it was Lone Star. And I remember it when it was a “Family Kitchen.” It has changed hands several times, so the atmosphere is generally the same. Its presented as a traditional southern country kitchen and the food reflects it.
The menu is expansive and has many options. There’s something for everyone here just like what a southerner would expect at their grandma’s house. After looking over the menu, my eye caught the “famous” dishes. I know this is a marketing ploy, but still must have some legitimate basis, so I decided on the beef tips. The sides are many and remind me of a trip to Cracker Barrel. I opted for the “famous” white slaw and the fried squash.
The meal arrived within a very reasonable time and was well prepared. I ordered the tips medium and they were perfectly cooked, well seasoned and portion size was excellent. The squash was segmented, but this was fine as the breading, seasoning and texture was spot on. The “famous” slaw was sweet. Almost too sweet. Just my opinion here, but a bit of sour (vinegar) and some black pepper would have made it much better. The cornbread muffin was warm, fluffy and would pair very well with a bowl of pintos. I would even crumble them onto a bowl of milk and be satisfied.
Service was prompt, professional, courteous, and attentive. Well done.
Prices were reasonable given the portions and quantity.
Overall, I would definitely recommend and would enjoy a return trip to try something different.
If you have food allergies, this may not be the best place for you. A lot of items are prepared on the same surfaces, so cross contamination is a concern.

Would give yall 5 stars but tht girl Leslie is AWEFUL! Me and my wife come here regularly and noticed a trend of all the good workers no longer here. Come to find out their “manager,” is getting rid of them and taking their server shifts. As someone who works in the industry tht is repulsive. Also the store is not run right and dirty when Leslie is there. This isn’t an issue with other managers as last time we brought something to lesiles attention, she rolled her eyes and acted as if she was far superior than fixing our meal. She also didn’t think EVERY high chair not being used was dirty isn’t a big concern. Her nasty attitude is rubbing off on the employees and there needs to be a power shift. Wasn’t like this till recently where we had to say something. The host came to us and said “she’s getting rid of everyone who doesn’t agree with her.” Please Mr. John, fix this. Food is great but can’t let one bad apple spoil the field.

In town for a soccer tournament and they accommodated our team for a dinner. Mary was such an amazing waitress with our large party! She was super attentive and very efficient. Food came out fast and everything was wonderful! Steak tips were cooked perfectly! Will be back again if we are in town

The food is always very good. My waitress that I ask for everytime I visit is Maria. She is courteous, focused on customer satisfaction, makes sure beverage glass is never empty, asks if your food is the way you expect it, and takes time with each individual customers requirements and make aure it happens in a timely manner. If they ever lose Maria the restaurant would not be the same. I eat at farmhouse regularly and everything on the menu is really good, you are served generous portions and the server that will make your experience a “10” is named Maria! So go and visit them soon and Bon Apetit!

I went there with a group of people. The Chicken filling was good. The crust…I give a 0. The crust should be thin and crusty, not a thick piece of bread on top.The Salmon, Beef Liver & Onions and Chicken Alfredo was Great! Rice was dry and the gravy was too thick…Bang Shrimp and Fried zucchini was good. I suggest you go and decide what you like…The menu has variety of choices and the restaurant is very spacious..free parking

It was good food. There was a fish sandwich with tartar sauce in the side, coleslaw and pickles on the sandwich. Then a buttermilk biscuit chicken. Mac and cheese and Cole slaw were good with the corn muffin and the side of honey was strong but the chicken was really oily and didn’t taste good. Then there were sliced onions which were good. Edit: gave me food poisoning don’t go here

Our food was good and the restaurant was beautiful with a nice atmosphere. The service was terrible. We were one of four tables seated during our meal, but it appeared to be a social gathering instead of a workday for the severs. Our waitress was prompt in taking our order and bringing our drink, then we never saw her again until it was time for the bill. I could see her having a great time in the back of the restaurant with her friend’s laughing and having a good time.

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. Food was actually unique and not another standard old restaurant serving standard Sysco Food like cracker barrel.
Service was fantastic and place was quiet. We’re coming back!

Returned second time this week for their excellent service and food. Enjoyed spending time with family and watching them eat all the food on their plates. Added more pictures than the first visit.

We stopped here for dinner. The service was good, and food came out quickly. However, I didn’t care for mine at all. I had southern fried chicken, with mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. It was too much gravy on the chicken, but the chicken was good. I tried to scrape some of the gravy off. The Mac n cheese was box brand Velveeta, the sweet potatoes were good, the cornbread was jiffy and very greasy. It made my stomach hurt.
One of my sons had pork chops, but he preferred my husband’s fried chicken. My other son liked his chicken fingers, but didn’t eat the fries. My husband ordered banana pudding for dessert. I immediately noticed when the waitress brought it to the table, she was holding the inside of the bowl with her thumb. Since it didn’t touch the pudding, I didn’t complain, but I didn’t like that at all.
They played country music in the restaurant which is fine. The atmosphere is family friendly with a country feel.
