Came here for a meeting in the conference room. My favorite part about this place is Free coffee. Conference room was big and open no complaints there. I ordered a Old Tyme chicken sandwich it was really good a bit dry but pretty decent. Employees were very nice. They didn’t seem like they were quick on their feet but got the job done. Inside was nice and clean including the bathrooms. Come stop by for some food eatin’.

Typically I enjoy going to Moore’s. We’ll probably get it once a month. People usually feel compelled to leave a bad review vs a good one, well this is one of those times. I went through the drive thru and ordered dinner for the family, good friendly service like usual. After 2 cars we get to the window, pay, and the attendant asks us to pull up to one of the waiter spaces while they prepare our meals. No problem at all, that it fine. We then proceeded to wait in the space about 25min… one of us gets out of the car to go check in because it seems a little excessive at this point. We see other people walking out with food and going through the drive thru. We didn’t order anything out of the normal I feel like, pork plate and fried chicken plates. Girlfriend returns to the car with the food and we go home. Get home, the rest of the food was as to expect, no issues. At least it was fresh, annoyed about the time but whatever. Not review worthy. I usually don’t care. However, open the chicken tender snacks tray, and we have this… we usually order this and never have an issue. It was cold and where’s the breading? It’s fried chicken tenders. The entire point was missed. Should I have gone back? Maybe. But after waiting as long and then driving back home I don’t really want to drive back to complain about chicken tenders. So here we are. Bright side they were cooked through.. but we did not eat them, just checked to make sure they were at least cooked. Hope they can get it right next time.

WOW!!! My family visited this place and totally blew me away! Little confused at first but looked over the menu and selected a dish similar to what I would get at a BBQ place. First, they did offer Dine-In and drive up. They keep the tables very clean and well kept.
The price is pretty fair for other bbq places near by so not too surprised. FOOD Portions are really great for the price. I decided to just order a Galllon of tea for the family and sit at the table. The employees were walking around to the tables offering free tea refills. THATS AWESOME!
One of the biggest plus, was that children under 12 got a free ice cream! I am not sure if it was a short time thing but that’s awesome. I would recommend to find a dairy free option in the case a parent asks. But of course whisper to the parent before announcing to the kids .
Other than that food was cooked perfectly and we will definitely be making a stop again.

I enjoyed the service and the food was awesome! Pulled pork was probably my favorite! I just wish the fries had a little more salt.. personal preference. The lemonade is also awesome!

The best barbecue. I had Brunswick stew as a side and potato salad both were delicious. Others in my party order collards, fried chicken and mac and cheese everything was delicious. A fast friendly service from the staff. Very welcoming atmosphere.

You get what you pay for, got the shrimp and flounder plate, it was perfectly fried and not over battered. The sweat tea is absolutely to die for (if ya was raised on a lil tea with yer sugar ) Hell even the fixin’s fit to fill ya up, the green beans come with bits of that bitey Carolina bbq in it…and don’t even get me started with the Brunswick stew, chunked full of tasty morsels and sizable chunks of chicken and taters.

I had an excellent dinner tonight at Moore’s. I had the shrimp platter with macaroni and cheese and coleslaw and it was all delicious. Their portions of shrimp and sides were generous and the hush puppies were fantastic, hot, crisp and light. The best part of the meal though was a young lady at the window who was prompt courteous and super friendly

30 minutes waiting in the drive thru for a bbq sandwich French fries and a drink. Didn’t even get it so probably would have taken longer, I left the drive thru because I had to get back to work. Not dinner for me till I get home! Thanks! Would have understood but their lobby only had 2 tables and there were only 4 cars in the drive thru. What happened to the standard at this place ? Food has not really been that great lately either.

I moved to Jacksonville 2 years ago. At that time, Moore’s was one of my favorite places to eat. But over time, their quality has dropped and now they are very inconsistent. One day it may be fine and the next day you’re served food that’s old, dry, or uneatable. I can only hope they fix whatever internal issues they’re having and get back to cooking great food.
