Excellent. Everything simply excellent. The service was incredibly friendly and so on it! They treat you like family there! The pretzel bites are a must!

First off, I honestly don’t understand how this place has a 4-star average rating.

We waited about 90 minutes from being seated to actually receiving our food for a party of four. The only thing that kept this from being a zero-star experience was the wait staff, who were genuinely very kind and polite.

Unfortunately, the food itself was terrible.
I ordered the jumbo shrimp and received 10 small, bland shrimp for $20. They were not jumbo by any standard and had almost no flavor.

My wife’s fish tasted spoiled, and the green beans were clearly from a can. Even then, they somehow managed to mess those up as well.

To make things worse, we were charged higher prices than what was listed on the menu. When we questioned it, we were told there was a different price for paying with a card versus cash — but this was not stated anywhere on the menu. What’s even more frustrating is that when we first received the check, the higher prices were already on it before we had even paid with a card.

Nice staff, but extremely slow service, poor food quality, and misleading pricing made this a very disappointing experience. I would not return.

Small portions, lackluster flavors, and a long time to get our food. We did have a larger party, but that doesn’t account for the flavor issue. For the price, you aren’t getting that much. Possibly should consider rebrand as Cafe instead of Gourmet?

A very nice, casual, and quaint restaurant close to downtown Cartersville. We were visiting and just wanted to try something more local. They had a great selection of food and you could tell that everything was freshly made. Service was excellent too. A great place to chill for some beer and grub.

Unfortunately my food was overcooked. Hamburger was a hockey puck… No juice no flavor.
It’s a shame i was looking for a new spot.

I will come back and try different items.

Service was really nice.

Atmosphere? Small rustic feel, full bar, looks like they have some elevated items on menu.

Ya know when you go and you’re the only customer in there, either great or disaster… Cook must have forgotten about my food. Sad first experience.

If my next visit warrants a change I’ll update.

Still, Mom and Pop place deserves a try.

Took awhile to get our food & there was like 6 people there & the blackboard special Philly steak was ok & come out in what resembled a nice hotdog bun. It Was $15 & that should be written on the board..wife’s pork chop wasn’t what it used to be either. We haven’t been in awhile & hope it was just that day. Was always one of our favorites in carterville.
Ps when I got home I finished off some yard bird. Woooooooooo

This was our first time to eat at Moores. The decor is like folkart on the walls and also has a nice patio for outdoor dining. There are so many good things to choose from on the menu and they have daily specials also. We are vegetarian so we had the 4 veggie plate, and almond bread pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious. There were plenty of meat dishes to choose and also salads, burgers and sandwiches. You can have delicious food whatever you choose because everything looked yummy. We will definitely be back to sample the other menu items soon. They are open seven days a week.

Stopped for lunch while camping in the area. Staff was very friendly; service was great. We had the fried brussel sprouts – amazing! The breaded pork tenderloin was wonderful, just like the ones I grew up eating in the midwest. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.

Cute little place off the beaten path in Cartersville .. friendly service, good food, and relax atmosphere create a good dining experience .. the Strawberry & Lemongrass Mule and White Peach & Rosemary Mule adult beverages tasted fantastic .. the Cilantro Cream and Balsamic Vinagrette dressings made a simple salad very tasty, my daughter liked the Grilled Herb Marinated Chicken Breast but she said the Sweet Potato Biscuit was a little dry, and my wife liked her Baked Potato and Side Salad .. will probably be back

Unfortunately it was just okay. Service was fine, but our table wasn’t the cleanest and every single one of our orders was just underwhelming. With so many interesting choices in Cartersville these days, this would be low on my recommendation list.
