Small, tucked away sushi and ramen restaurant somewhat surprised to find it in Carleton Place but it really is excellent. Sushi was tasty, well presented and for the quality decent value for money. Service was friendly and efficient. Quite a few non sushi Asian options as well plus very good and reasonably priced poke options. Great to have the option to get this kind of cuisine in the area without having to go into the city.

I can’t express how much I absolutely enjoyed my solo dine here. It was a bit of a wait for my food…it was fairly busy (understandable) but what made the wait worth it was the quality of the food but before that the service from the staff. She was so kind and apologetic for the delay! I recommend this place to everyone!

We were very excited to try sushi at Moore, as we moved from Barrie where we have plenty of sushi options, I tried to call 4 times when we hit the lottery and were able to put our order in (pick up as we are from the Lanark Highlands)
When I paid and got to the car I thought I was missing an item as there were only two containers, I ordered vegetarian sushi plater and spicy plater and tempura, they put the fish with the vegetarian (allergic person) we have a 45 minute drive home company is arriving at 730 i was unable to stay for them to make more. I now have to find myself something to eat my husband and guest did enjoy the sushi.

My brother was raving about this place for months. I am always hesitant to try sushi in small towns, but this place is a real gem!
Sat at the counter and watched the chefs work their magic. It gets busy but the food comes out fairly quickly. They also serve sake and canned Sapporo/Asahi. The fish is fresh and the portions are good. I have been eating a lot of Vancouver sushi and for those that know, it is very good. This place is comparable!
The signage is nondescript and I didn’t know Carleton Place even had a sushi restaurant for the longest time. But the food makes up for the lack of splashy signage. I wish I had found this place sooner!

Moore Sushi has certainly one of the best sushi that I ever had in the entire Canada. From the misoshiru to the sashimi, everything is scrumptious and well made.
The price is fair and the service is great.
I honestly don’t understand the people who go to a place like this, complain about the size of the dishes and then write bad reviews about it.
I will go back whenever I can.

A total hidden gem. And I mean hidden. It’s tucked away in the corner of the plaza that I almost missed it, but the food is phenomenal. Sushi is perfect and tasty. The tempura we had the perfect batter. Definitely will be back to try their ramen and poké bowls. And I live in Ottawa, so it’s a bit of a trek. It’s that good.

It took me two months to find out that a sushi restaurant opened in Carleton Place?? AND it’s this good??? The chef is clearly not fooling around. This is real sushi. Even just the yam tempura we started with was excellent. Everything was excellent! Just really great quality, made by someone who clearly knows what he is doing.
