Moontree Sushi and Tapas a good experience. The food was just ok, but the service was great and the vibe of the restaurant felt pretty good. Our server made the visit as she was nice and friendly. We ordered the edamame and it was overcooked. We mentioned it to our server who brought us a fresh order. The sushi was good, but not great. I think some of the flavors had an interesting mix that we weren’t ready for. I forgot the one specialty roll, but it had onions on top that took away from the other flavors. It was good, but just an interesting mix of flavors. The one we liked was the fried bites which was great. Overall, this place is in a nice location and has a good layout.

Went for Friday night dinner around 9. The place was not super busy and parking is right outside. They were pretty fast with the service. We got the nigiri combination with spicy tuna. It had some interesting combinations and the spicy tuna was pretty good. We also got negi hama roll which was nice and surprisingly small. I got the hama lava which was not super good. The sauce made the sushi soggy and to me did not complement well. I also got 2 old fashion which was nice. Service was superb and the staff were very nice.

We went there for the first time before our ballet show. The staff were really friendly, and he recommended great dishes for us especially the fish. The fish quality is superb!!! The dessert sampling plate for mochi was super good. We had a great time there. We will definitely visit it again in the future.

We were seated very quickly, and the menu selection was good. The server was kind, but he took my order incorrectly, which caused an extra wait. The donburi did not meet my expectations at all—especially for a $49 dish. It was mostly rice and didn’t look or feel worth the price.

I also ordered a matcha sparkling water but was given a fruity one instead. When I asked the server to confirm, he said that was the only type they had, which was disappointing.

Very nice place with friendly and attentive staff and tasty sushi. Flexible to spicy/non spicy options. Loved how they served their dishes. The lunch for 3 cost us $113+tips. It was not very crowdy on Sunday.

One of our go-to sushi spots. I come here pretty often and it’s always solid. The owner is super kind and welcoming and the chefs are very professional. The fish quality is always on point, and everything is clean, balanced, and just done right. Whether you’re doing omakase, ordering a few pieces or even kitchen foods it never misses.

The vibe is chill, comfortable, but still high quality. Easy spot to come for a date or bring friends casually for late night drinks. If you’re looking for a sushi place without breaking your bank, I highly recommend this place.

I’ll probably be visiting next week as well lol

It was a very busy event day with Seahawks, Mariners and concerts, but we were able to get a spot at the bar for 3, even though there were at reservation only status. The service was amazing, while the area is very small they take good advantage of everything they have to maximize space. I was pricing is incredible, I still can’t believe how good of a deal it was. We got a Moontree roll, a fancy Seattle roll, some crispy rice and pork riblets. Everything tasted so fresh and was delicious. They were constantly checking on us and refilling our drinks. Absolutely a great place to stop and we will definitely go again!

My husband and I booked out this restaurant for our wedding reception party and it was thanks to Moontree (and their PHENOMENAL management, staff, and chefs) that brought our dream celebration to life.

Their cozy, urban, and elegant interior made for the perfect atmosphere and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of their dishes. Everything is served with the freshest ingredients, their presentation is absolutely beautiful, and you’ll find creative twists on japanese classics with a flavor you won’t find anywhere else. Considering the elegance and quality of their dishes, their price point is a steal! The open kitchen and being able to watch the masters work their magic is an added plus!

Their management and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and the kindness and diligence we experienced with them was a quality of service that isn’t found easily elsewhere.

My family and I make the trip to Seattle to frequent this place and they knock it out of the park every single time. It really is worth the trip.
Whether you are looking for an elevated outing or searching for the perfect place to host your loved ones, Moontree is my answer!

While looking for a restaurant near the hotel, I decided to try this place after seeing its high review ratings and the appealing photos. The food turned out to be far better than expected, so I ordered various dishes paired with drinks, relishing the joy of dining after quite a while. I particularly appreciated the sushi selection, which included plenty of white-fish options. The rice grains were not clumped together, spreading gently in the mouth, which added to the overall excellent experience.
However, the Keso Karaage squid legs were a bit too dry, and I thought the wasabi variety and aagedashi tofu would have been better if they had been crispier before soaking in the sauce. I definitely intend to visit this place again and plan to try other dishes next time. It’s a spot I highly recommend.
