I had the tuna and they substituted rice so that my meal was gluten free. The tuna was sushi grade and excellent. We ate here once before about two years ago, and I had the roast duck which was also very good.
My wife and friends enjoyed their meals. Our friends have been here many times and they say it has always been excellent.
The service was very professional and accommodating. Our waiter was highly experienced with this restaurant. The busboy’s cleanup was appropriate and not rushed.
The atmosphere is delightful.
We were greeted at the front door, greeted again at the hostess desk and escorted to our table for outdoor dining. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Our waitress Samantha (Sam) was awesome and gave great suggestions on what to order. She also checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed.
We didn’t order appetizers or drinks but we definitely destroyed the warm crusty bread with the herbed butter.
For entrees we both ordered the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies and it is definitely something I will order again because we will be back. We also had lemonade which was perfect and very refreshing after a long day at the beach. Should have taken pics of the food but was too busy eating but I did get some pics of the view from our table
Fresh, ice cold oysters from Delaware with a nice cocktail sauce. Recommend requesting fresh horseradish sauce.
The shrimp cocktail pieces were large and fresh with a nice cocktail sauce with a spoonful of horseradish.
The tuna was spectacular. Slices of seared, rare tuna with wasabi sauce was served over a bed of delicious cold soba noodles. Nicely balanced dish for taste and texture, and not overly filling.
The seared shrimp and scallop risotto was rich and creamy. The seafood was tender and juicy, with flavors that complemented the mushroom risotto well. The seafood portion sizes were generous and didn’t allow the risotto to take over the dish (e.g., you could eat some seafood with each bite of risotto).
The seafood medley, vegetables, and Thai red curry over jasmine rice was a nice dish. The curry spices were mild-moderate and did not overwhelm the taste of the fresh shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, and other ingredients.
The lemon-blueberry cheesecake over a chocolate crumble crust was excellent. Not too heavy and quite bright with flavor.
Special thanks to Kimberly for sharing her food recommendations and for the attentive, professional service! She was quite impressive with opening the wine bottles and keeping a steady flow of drinks / food to the table.
