The Moonshine Mountain Cookie story began in 1988 in Knoxville, TN. There are 3 locations in Knoxville and our newest store is now open in Pigeon Forge. Our distinctly delicious gourmet cookies are handcrafted in small batches using only real butter & the finest ingredients to insure your complete satisfaction. Some of our special recipes even include a splash of original Tennessee moonshine! (no worries, the alcohol bakes out making it safe for everyone). We also make our own premium, hand scooped ice cream. Utilizing a local dairy farm for fresh, quality ice cream mix insures that our ice cream is rich and super creamy! The best ice cream I’ve ever had!! I had the funky monkey that’s made with real bananas and Oreos. My husband had the strawberry cake flavor. He loved it too!! We will try the cookies before we head home. They looked scrumptious! The store was extremely clean and they offer a sitting area with a view of the strip.

The ice cream was incredible. We ordered the ice cream boat so we could sample three different flavors, and every single one was a hit. The cookies were just as good — soft, fresh, and full of flavor. Our only mistake was discovering this place on our last day in Pigeon Forge. Do yourself a favor: go early in your trip… and then go back again.

I stopped by this ice cream shop on a whim, and it turned out to be such a delightful surprise! The moment you walk in, the place smells amazing — sweet, fresh, and inviting. Wendy is one of their staff and were super friendly and patient, happily offering samples and helping me choose the perfect flavor (which wasn’t easy because everything looked so good!).

I’m an ice cream lover and have had some great ice cream in my life. Moonshine is now my favorite. I had the raspberry cheesecake. My wife had the coffee brownie. My daughter had the chocolate chip cookies dough. Three very different flavors. All three were superb and thoroughly enjoyed. The freshness of the real ingredients is apparent right away from the first taste. The texture and creaminess is exactly what hard ice should be like. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. I hope they open a shop one day back home in the Nashville area because I will miss this ice cream until our next visit.

The first bite taste comes with a sweet crunch and you hit the middle for a soft yet ever so tart of the lemon! Literally these cookies are the types that you’d almost bet your grandma made!
The Coffee & Brownies ice cream is quite literally what it says! The brownie chunks blended in with the coffee ice cream gives you that mocha flavor if you like mocha frappes.
The young lady up front gave us a sample of the ice cream too, along with giving our kiddos their ice cream choices too.

The butter pecan ice cream is the best I’ve had…ever. Interior is decorated stylishly and the location is in the middle of it all on the Parkway. New company to the area with incredible ice cream and cookies. We will be back.

Excellent customer service and excellent ice cream! Very flavorful and I love the fact that it is a local owned business. I got the Nana strawberry cake ice cream, and was one of my favorites of all time! Worth a drive and a stop. Located next to the mellow mushroom pizza place. Maybe drop by, grab a pizza and have these guys for dessert!

Product is delicious. Matthew was wonderful did a great job. Was not going to purchase anything but he got us to try samples and we ended up spending over $30. So he did his job well. Definitely recommend this place.

What an amazing spot! The ice creams are so creamy and they have so much flavor, the cookies feel like they are homemade, even though we came pretty late on the day and the attention was honestly amazing too. Will be convincing my husband to come back before we leave to go home!
