James and Shelly Moon purchased Moon’s Town Pump in October of 2019. We are hometown tavern and eatery just a block from the public boat docks on the Mississippi River. Our building is full of local history adorning the old brick walls. We offer a family friendly dining experience & ice cream in the summer months. We are known for Noodle Night on Wednesday, Rueben Thursday (all day), AYCE Wings on Friday Night, and most famously Prime Rib on Saturday night. Our Chef also brews up amazing soups (seasonaly) of the days, Daily Specials, and the highly anticipated Burger of the Week! Stop by for a nice selection of beer and alcohol, including Bloody Mary’s and other seasonal drink specials. We look forward to meeting you!

This place is cozy. It’s small, with plenty of seating.
Very small town atmosphere. Friendly, clean and well kept.
The burgers are EXCELLENT! I get the one with cheese curds and bacon. My husband loved the fish platter.

Wife had stuffed green pepper soup which she described as tasteless. I had a medium prime rib which I couldn’t cut the outside and the inside, which I ordered med-rare was tough. The owner went in the kitchen to cut a slice, came out and said “nothing wrong with it”. I asked him to cut mine and even though it took him a bit he said it was fine. I paid the bill ($44.00 wasted). I said we’d not return and he said “I don’t care”.

Everything was great. Food and service. Felt like a local after the first visit. Bartenders remembered our drink after the our first stop in. Not one complaint out of the many visits we made while staying in town.
