I’ve been here once and had an excellent experience. It was my partner’s first time and he enjoyed the food. He even liked the salad here! Lol
But the service is generally not great and they don’t seem very friendly. Always a little disappointing.
Still definitely recommend despite that.
This restaurant has been a staple in Morgan Hill for as long as I can remember. I have lived in morgan hill since nineteen eighty nine. Im a bit of an O.G. The food here is delicious and consistent. I had not been here in a few years but once I realized that I left the sense deleted negative review. I had to come and show my support, and it is just as I remember, wonderful. Wonderful food and wonderful service. My parents have been come here for there for their anniversarys for going on 35 years, partly because it’s tradition, but also because they serve a unique menu of Japanese inspired cuisine with an American twist. My grandparents alos used to also frequent offend. So if you haven’t tried moon’s kitchen, or if you just haven’t been in a while you really should make a vist this weekend.
In asking for dipping sauce for the tempura, which is standard at Japanese restaurants, the kind lady chuckled and pointed to the cup of a thick, white dressing on my bento and said, “This, tempura sauce.” I initially thought this was ranch dressing to go with my side of chicken salad. And I was correct. I dipped my tempura into the white dressing, and it was indeed, ranch dressing.
