I don’t normally post reviews about sub-par experiences, but wanted to share this because I think the quality of service/execution was so abysmal here. I ordered a sandwich on Doordash after I saw this place had good reviews online.
The sandwich I got was honestly pretty disgraceful. I’m giving 2-stars because it was still edible (nothing rotten, no hairs, tasted average) so I don’t think doing 1-star is fair (there’s a reason reviews have 1-5 stars, so I hate when people treat it like a binary “good” is 5-star and “bad” is always 1-star).
You can see the attached images. Photo on doordash app shows a completely different sandwich in terms of amount of turkey. What was delivered was crazy. Especially considering this was a $15+ sandwich. Skimping on the turkey was one thing though, looking inside the sandwich, you can see how little care went into making it.
I even paid $1 extra for cheese, and another $1 extra for avocado. You can see the small half of a piece of cheese they put onto the entire half of the sandwich which barely covers it, and then even more crazy is the 1 slice of pickle and tomato.
I know Doordash isn’t actually going to likely contact the restaurant about this, despite my letting them know I actually feel like this was false advertising looking at the photo of their $15+ turkey sandwich and the amount of turkey vs. what I got. So that’s why I’m leaving this review here.
To the business owner: I’ll happily remove this review if you can acknowledge that this is just a ridiculous way to run a business and serve customers and you won’t do this type of thing to other people in the future.

This isn’t the old moonlight deli just so people who are locals know Moonlight used to have a five dollar deal every day. I get it those days are gone. But the charm with moonlight was that they used Costco ingredients and you knew it and the sando was pretty good but not the best. On top of that it was charming because it was tiny and right next to yhe Jack in the box and the lady was super nice. At best the sandwich I just ordered was an 8 dollar sandwich. Problem is it was 1350. You can’t charge 13.50 for a Costco ingredients sandwich when Michael’s sourdough js baking fresh sourdough every morning for a way bigger way Better sandwich. Whoever bought this place forgot why moonlight had so many customers tej years ago. It’s lost its charm.

Really weak amount of meat for a $10 sandwich, picture says it all. Also the roast beef seemed low quality, it was rubbery like bologna. The staff was nice and the rest of the sandwich was fine, and I guess they do free delivery which is generous, but the amount of meat needs to be doubled at LEAST. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve never gotten a sub with this little meat in my life. Raise the prices by a dollar if you have to, but I would not come back how they currently are.

I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, but I feel this issue is important to address. I have visited this deli multiple times, and while the food is good, I have concerns about hygiene. I have repeatedly observed employees using the same gloves to prepare sandwiches and handle cash, which raises serious food safety concerns. Unfortunately, due to this ongoing issue, I don’t believe I will be returning.

I really love this spot so much. The two women who run it are absolutely the sweetest and are always patient with me as I decide my order. The sandwiches are delicious and they have a great variety of toppings in addition to the classics. They also have a fun variety of drinks and chips. I always stop here on my way up to a hike and eat my sandwich up there. It’s perfect!
