I’m in here almost once a week since 2022, never disappointed. Their menu is extensive and has many options I can safely eat as a person with celiac disease, and they have a whole separate vegan menu. You see a lot of first dates here because of the variety of menu options, which can count as live entertainment. Nice people, great food, nuff said.

I love their expansive vegan menu with plant-based versions of so many traditional Vietnamese dishes. Bun Mam is a noodle soup with fermented fish, and it’s hard to find even the regular version in Vietnamese restaurants here. So I was very pleasantly surprised and excited to see a vegan version. It was delicious! I will definitely be back to try more.

The food here is authentic Vietnamese cuisine and truly delicious. The egg rolls are unique, made with rice paper that gives them a crisp texture unlike other Vietnamese restaurants. The pancake is also excellent, with fresh ingredients that make it stand out. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it worthwhile. Overall, this is some of the best Vietnamese food in Seattle.

Feasted on 7 dishes that were all delicious . They were cooked perfectly with authentic flavors. Favorite dish is hands down the salt and pepper shrimp!! Must try. Fried expertly so that you can eat the shell too. We also had the vegan orange chicken and I think moonlight has one of the best vegan menus (who knew you could eat good vegan Asian food). Staff was super friendly and on top of things. This has become one of my favorite hidden gems.

Tried Bún bò Huế and fried rice and they are both beyond expectation. The Bún bò Huế is more sweet and fresh than spicy. The fried rice is a little salty but the flavor is very good. Very friendly staff and family-owned atmosphere.

At the suggestion of one of the staff, we tried their new dish, the vegan orange shrimp and grilled pork & eggroll vermicelli. It was delicious and we highly recommend. Will definitely be back to explore other items on their menu!
Edit: 7/22/24: I recently had the pleasure of trying the new Crab Fried Rice at Moonlight Cafe. It included 4 Big Shrimps, and it was an absolute delight. The dish arrived beautifully presented, with generous portions of succulent crab meat and four impressively large shrimp that were perfectly cooked.
The fried rice itself was a harmonious blend of flavors, with just the right amount of seasoning that complemented the sweetness of the crab and the savory taste of the shrimp. The rice was light and fluffy, avoiding any greasiness that can sometimes accompany fried dishes. Each bite was a burst of goodness.
In short, the Crab Fried Rice is a must-try.

The food is the only good thing here.
Get their food to go.
Service is bad. Actually terrible. Especially from either one of those tiny waitresses servers. Who dress in shiny red shirts. Their behavior is almost you can call it disrespectful. Careless.
Maybe owner is not paying them good enough , may be owner is mistreating them. Maybe they think they are too good to work here.
Maybe they have resentment towards working there,for whatever reason they have ,so they treat the customers real bad.
Dirty spacious place.
Their restroom is not maintained.
Their soap dispensers are empty most of the time, and if full then the soap is diluted, and thinned out with so much water. How cheap is that.
Their workers don’t wash hands with soap when they use restroom. How nasty is that.
Hygiene here is at their least priorities
Very high prices compared to the little portions they serve.
They will shorten, and skim your meal portion , and will claim that is their normal meal portions.
Watch out from their add on prices.
Management will rip you off if you don’t pay attention to what you are going to pay. They already did multiple times
