We finally got a chance to dine at Moon Thai & Japanese. We have seen this place so many times but never got a chance to eat here. Well I had to tell myself “ What are you waiting for “. The staff is super friendly, we were seated right away. The atmosphere is great. The restaurant inside is beautiful. There is a nice bar area as well.
But the food , that’s what I wanted to share with you today. We had crispy Peking duck, crispy fish , chicken sate ….
I could not stop eating. The crispy duck in Panang curry is my fave. Just with plain white rice. It is yummy. crispy whole fish is enough for two, although my husband ended up eating it all by himself. Sooo delicious with the sticky sweet spicy sauce and sticky rice. Everything is fresh and hot from the kitchen. I felt I was in Thailand eating Thai food. The menu is diverse you can choose Japanese options as well, which we will try next time.
Ps.. bathrooms are very clean. I personally have this pet peeve I feel if bathrooms are not clean the kitchens probably aren’t either. I Highly recommend Moon Thai& Japanese

My family and I live near the Alton plaza and come around the area very frequently, one of our go-to restaurants especially for special events and birthdays. The place is very clean and well-maintained, they offer many diverse options for food and have great seating options including: bar, inside, outside, and even a section inside when you go up a couple steps. Moon Thai also delivers perfectly aesthetic vibes and also amazing staff that will do their absolute best to make sure you have the best experience ever! Overall you should definitely come see this place for yourself and write your own review.

This was our first time at Moon Thai. The atmosphere was quite lovely! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered gyoza, salads, the Wellington Dragon roll, chicken satei and mixed vegetable with tofu. Everything was delish! Thank you, Rachel, for your extra kindness and attention to my husband and I! We will definitely be returning to Moon Thai!

Over priced by about 25%. The flavor was solid but lacking in spice. I requested medium heat and tasted none, keep that in mind when ordering. Only a few customers were there at 1pm and the service was still slow.

In the Alton shopping plaza. The menu is a buffet of happiness and deliciousness. Every single dish that I see come out for presentation is a blessing to my senses. I highly recommend if you’re feeling for high quality above average taste of sushi and Thai bites. There are lunch specials, happy hour and 2-4-1 deals as well. The staff is super and chefs are extremely crafty and super talented!

Let’s see where to start, great place and a great atmosphere. The bartender Christina is the one to see, welcomes you with a genuine smile and is happy to make a delicious beverage. This is my new go to spot!

We would come here at least once per week for lunch from our office. Today, we found out the owner told the staff not to offer a lunch menu on a bank holiday. Apparently, the owner would rather make a few extra bucks instead of welcoming the restaurant’s regulars. So, we left and went to another Thai place nearby, which is less expensive and just as good. It looks like we found a new lunch spot for Thai food, and it’s not Moon Thai.

Have been coming to this restaurant for 3 years now with my family and I take my workers here at least twice a month for work lunches.

The menu, service has always been very good.

Recently they have made changes such as no more children’s menu, no more substitutions and removing popular menu items. They added a lot more sugar to the Panang curry which makes it inedible.

As much as me and my family have loved this restaurant, we will no longer give them our business. The upcharging for everything and reduction is quality is not something we can support and the only way to let it here establishments know is by showing them with our wallets.

It is a great cuisine restaurant with a huge menu to select from from Japanese to sushi. The decor however is a negative point in this restaurant everything is Red and very dim inside. Don’t expect an LED vibrant color light. So all photos come in RED when you take photos inside the restaurant. The food is excellent, a considerable portion for the price and you can taste the authenticity of the food. We ordered, Octopus, Miso Soup, Pad Thai, Moon Thai fried rice and Red Curry you must try they are awesome. The price is reasonable enough because they have a huge menu. The alcohol selection is quite nice. Our server is very polite and attentive to details so he deserves praise. The inside is quite large and you can also sit outside. Overall a great quality restaurant if you want Japanese and sushi to try. Must try.

Do not order from here. SAUCE EXPLODED IN BAG. Soy sauce all of over my kitchen I’ll be smelling soy sauce for days probably. Not only did I call to pay extra for Masago and tempura flakes for the sushi that was destoryed and covered in wasabi because they didn’t package it right, but they completely forgot the 8 ounces of ginger dressing that I purchased with it too. So I have two salads with no dressing at all not even a drop. Throwing it out like $16 for lettuce lol. Horrible delivery service. I wasn’t even given a refund or anything. $60 for crap.
