Immediately upon entering you will notice the typical faded backlit menu seen in so many New York spots we love and enjoy. As you walk by the fish tank you are greeted with some of the most friendly service you will ever get. All the food here is prepared fresh, never frozen, and always has the perfect crisp to juiciness ratio.
Compared to other Chinese spots in the area this place is not only better service and better quality, but better prices as well. Our recent order was over ten items and it was still under 80 bucks. Unfortunately they do not deliver but are always open for takeout. Trust me. Moon Star is worth the trip!

Great Chinese food in Brookfield Connecticut. They seem to do consistently better than places around the area so I would recommend them. There’s nothing special about the shop itself, but let’s be honest. We’re all headed home with the food anyway enjoy.

I recently moved to Brookfield and needed to get dinner. We were in the mood for Chinese so I did a search for places that were close to us. Moon Star is located on Federal Road and conveniently a few minutes away from me. Plenty of parking in the lot. I called for a pick up order and it was ready in the 10 minutes as promised. The woman who took the order was very courteous and pleasant. She was just as nice when I picked up the food.
The food was good. We got beef and broccoli, General Tso chicken, and chicken lo mein. The beef with broccoli was very good, as was the side of fried rice. The General Tso was also good, however it needed a little more spice. I do like how they cut the chicken pieces smaller as compared to other places. Made it easier to eat and it did not have an excess of breading. The chicken lo mein was OK. I didn’t have much because I do not like how lo mein is loaded with all of the vegetables. One of the meals came with an eggroll and doughnut. The eggroll was delicious. The donut was just OK. I will definitely return to try sone more menu items.

Came in last night, had just started snowing ordered a PuPu platter. Everything in it was completely delicious, the beef was tender on a stick, the spring roll was very good I’m not sure I love the cheese in it LOL and then the chicken wings were delicious everything was a hit!! We have a new Chinese restaurant

We have been going there for years , I am from Brookfield. I live in Danbury now and come to get it when I am in the mood for Chinese food. The past few time it’s been not so good with flavor and over cooked boneless ribs that the dogs could not even eat and the chicken was well over done… Today brought it even lower . I ordered honey Shrimp (flavorless didn’t eat it because it was just soaked with no flavor and breading ) ordered also the fried Dumplings which was BURNT and the garlic chicken …. There were two 4” long Black hairs as an added surprise in this dish. The ribs that were supposed to be boneless were bon-in but they were actually the only thing we did eat and was very good .I am done , not going to wasted money anymore I never spend less then $50 and I would rather not waste good money .

The best Chinese food in the area. Not only is the food delicious, but the prices are extremely affordable and the portions are huge. They always throw in some free donuts too. The staff is so friendly, always welcoming you with a smile!

My favorite takeout place in the area. Moved away to DC a few years ago and always request it when I’m back in town – there’s nothing comparable where I live! Very friendly & helpful service, fair prices, clean kitchen. My personal recommendations are any of their chicken dishes (sesame & general tsaos are the best i think) and any of their fried rice options. their lo mein is also excellent, with a good ratio of noodle and meat; you get a free egg roll with every meal (which is fine, nothing special), and a donut (which i really enjoy). I also really appreciate the size of their portions – always leftovers for the next day with anything I order. moon star gets my highest recommendation for takeout in the danbury area.

We have been going to Moon Star for the very best Chinese food for many years. The food is so good that after moving away four years ago, it is still the place we go to every time we come back to visit family and have dinner together. Today we had another delicious meal with an additional order to take back home! The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the online order process is easy, quick and efficient. Watching a few coming out of the doorway next to where my lunch was being prepaired was slightly off-putting, but to each their own.
The rice was bland, lacked flavor, the chicken was mushy. With a overly thick sauce that was way too sweet.
I didn’t eat more than 3 bites.
This is the 1st chinese spot in the whole county I’ve given a poor review too. It takes a lot for me to wrote a poor review because I’m aware of how it could effect the business. But if conditions don’t change I can’t imagine people eating here.

I have been eating food here for 10 years and it never disappoints. Love the spring rolls with cheese. I can’t find those anywhere else. They clean the fryer very regularly. Everything is always fresh and delicious.
