Bar staff was super friendly and cool, unfortunately the crowd was not the vibe. Music was a good volume but a very chaotic mix of genres that made the atmosphere worse. There was a lot of people on the weekends, almost no rooftop seating available. Older crowd and a little too conservative for me and my friends taste. We had fun though. Friends were disappointed in the beer selection and there wasn’t really any non-alcoholic drinks, but I was able to have cranberry juice.

Surprised to find a very small, not so chic nor glamorous bar at the top of a very beautiful and historic building in the Magic City. The drinks were nothing fancy. The best thing about Moonshine was the view from the patio – it was gorgeous!

Cool little bar atop the gorgeous Elyton Hotel. Great drinks, nice cheese board, tasty pizza. All overlooking Birmingham.

Great atmosphere. Laid back rooftop bar, 2 seating sides with a DJ. They did offer quick food bites. A great mix of drinks and they will make drinks not on their menu.

Beautiful views. Very nice setup. We were disappointed the music was only behind the bar and drinks were not good. We may give it another try and make sure we get a different bar tender.

I love this place. I was visiting from Seattle and wanted to see some of the city, so chose to go here with a friend that lives in Birmingham. The cityscape views here are among the best that the state has to offer; they were incredible. The staff was sweet and the drinks were great (especially the Black and Blue). I highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the city, to have a night out with friends, or to even go on a romantic date. Best time to visit this place would be at sunset/twilight (the night hours are beautiful too, of course).

Staff was great, very nice and knowledgeable. View is phenomenal. Drinks were overpriced $9 for a draft beer that’s not even a pint. Food was eh to mediocre. We had crab claws and avacado dip. Would come back for the view definitely. They have the bar indoors and two outside patios. Both patios have awesome views of downtown. Very cool little spot to bring friends if you just want to chat and have a couple drinks outside. Also cool little elevator with peek a boo windows in the ceiling, to take you up to the bar.

Nice views from the top of the Elyton hotel in downtown Birmingham. There is a bar and restaurant on the rooftop and views in all directions. I did not try anything off the menu so I can only comment on the solid views.
