Absolutely wonderful. I can see and taste a Michelin star coming. Small cozy restaurant. Extensive wine selection. And 3 to 7 course meals. We met wonderful new friends there snd had wonderful conversations over our meal. An experience that you should have visiting Bergen.

On a Michelin Star curve, Moon was fine. One dish (second picture) we would easily come back for, rest of the 5 course tasting menu was fine or needed something more (salt / seasoning, texture, etc).

Not inexpensive by any means, wait staff was knowledgable and kind.

The food was surprisingly mediocre (though it looked beautiful). Especially considering the price. The most flavorful thing was the dessert which was quite good. Nothing was bad tasting, just flavorless and bland (for example, the curry was incredibly bland).
The service was attentive, with great wine recommendations. It’s right in town making it easily accessible but reservations seem necessary.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it as your money will simply be better spent elsewhere.

Had a wonderful time here. They definitely take pride in providing a curated dining experience, and it shows! If you’re in the market for a beautifully cultivated, uniquely flavored, multi-course meal with vibrancy to delight your eyes, this is your spot.

A great mix of some really good food, beautiful presentation and a light, non-pompous atmosphere. A kind of a restaurant where they don’t frown at you when you don’t get the name of the wine right
The portion sizes are very decent. This isn’t one of those fancy restaurants you’d leave hungry after having 5 dishes, and I’ve been to some.
Overall, light atmosphere and great food, menu that you adjust according to how hungry you are, highly recommended.

We had the Christmas 8 courses menu at Moon. Amazing experience, by far the best restaurant we tried in Bergen !
Refined, well-crafted dishes with original, tasty combinations of flavours. Lots of variety and very well presented. The wines were also very good.

Came for my birthday while we were in Bergen – we did the 4 course menu. Love the choice of food, all cooked amazingly. The service was great too, super friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone wanting to treat themselves to a great meal while in the city!

A culinary journey not to be missed!

The food was an absolute delight, with flavors that danced on the palate and creative textures that added a new dimension to each dish. The presentation was impeccable, reflecting the chef’s dedication to culinary excellence.

I highly recommend opting for the 5 or 6-course menu for the full experience. Each course was a masterpiece in its own right, carefully curated to showcase the chef’s artistry and the quality of the ingredients. The progression of flavors and textures throughout the meal was a true feast for the senses, leaving us utterly satisfied and craving for more.

The wine selection is diverse and extensive. We paired the menu with two french white and red wines which elevated the experience to a whole new level of enjoyment.

For anyone seeking a memorable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! Five stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recommended but with reservations..

First to what really worked well. The service was friendly, efficient, informative. Very nice people. Professional. The plants hanging around the restaurant were calming and the serving dishes were well thought out and accentuated the dishes thematically.

The food unfortunately was a mixed bag. The duck dish was quite nice, good quality meat, chanterelle mushrooms were nicely seasoned. the flavors worked together. Paul’s Garden delivered a dissonant layering that produced a smooth coherent flavor, visually pleasant result. And the first dessert which included a lemon verbena ice cream with raspberries was tasty.

The other three dishes were lackluster. The langoustine was perched on what tasted like a glorified tabouli salad. That really didn’t succeed. Either did the accompanying sauce which had very little potency or nuance. The halibut was probably the biggest disappointment: the fish had very little flavor by itself. Definitely the most bland halibut we’ve tasted (aside from my own highly questionable cooking…) and the sauce failed. It just didn’t have much personality and didn’t lend flavor to the dishes thematically.

In summary: excellent service, calming decor, half the dishes worked, sauces failed and fish failed.

My advice: try the 4 course menu and choose the duck and the raspberry verbena dessert.

it would be fair if there was one half star for they deserve more than 4 stars. i was thrilled by the vegetarian options on the menu that week. i had the 3 course meal but was thinking that perhaps after the meal i was still going to have an extra desert but i was not able to finish the desert at Moon. the portion of the dishes was on the medium size. the breads were excellent by the way.
the beautiful and exquisite presentation of every dish were a huge treat, however, their taste were not exactly matching up to their look in my case.
the service was attentive but rather quick for a michelin star restaurant.
for a nice dinner out in bergen, i would recommend this romantic restaurant.
