We specialize in and offer a variety of smoked and grilled meats including: Pulled pork, ribs, 1/2 chickens, grilled chicken, smoked chicken breast and wings. We also take special orders during the holiday season for desserts, cakes and pies as well as homemade chicken and dressing your family will love (November – December only)! The loaded baked potato was small. Atmosphere was great, you must get it to go. I really enjoy my company. The cost was about $12.00 with a 12 ounce can of soda. The meal was quickly served up.

I ordered a week or so ago. The young girl was nice over the phone, but when I went to pay for my order, an older woman rudely “helped” me. She slammed the door open when I walked up, although it took her 5 minutes to realize I walked up. I could see her on the phone with someone on her cellphone. When she realized she rolled her eyes, and said can I help you I said I was picking up for me and gave her my name. She was so rude about my money and then proceeded to slam the door back in my face before I could walk off!!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. NO HOSPITALITY, NO MANNERS OR ANYTHING!!! She should NOT be working with customers!!! The tip jar barely had any money, and I’m sure they wonder why!! I’ve spoke with others about their experiences with her and they’ve all went elsewhere with their business!! This lady needs to be fired or dealt with, or put her in the kitchen and bring someone else up with customers. I’m going elsewhere with my business.

By far the best BBQ I’ve had around here. Definitely beats Lisa’s and Sam’s by a long shot! Today was our first time trying Mookie’s and not only was every single thing we tried, delicious. But they are super sweet and friendly! Will definitely be back and we highly recommend them. They also have the best white sauce I’ve ever tried!

We were on our last leg of our move from CA to FL and decided it was time to visit a local place. Mookie’s did not disappoint in any way. From the warm greeting, incredible hospitality and genuine friendliness we were recommended a few plates. The chicken wings were by far the best we had ever eaten, pulled pork was exceptional and the chicken, ribs and loaded potato were equally delicious. The beans and coleslaw were like nothing we had ever tasted. You can tell they cook with love, it shines through their food. We are as excited to try the strawberry lemonade cake, but ate too much lunch so will be a sweet treat during our next gas stop. Thank you for making our first local stop in the south a shining example of why we are moving. Will definitely be back to enjoy the amazing people and food, both will be worth the trip. Thank you!

Seriously awesome food! Pull off the interstate and drive a few minutes extra to stop here. They were so kind to us “newbies” and made us feel so welcomed. If you’re looking for homemade southern barbecue, this is your stop. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often! ❤❤

Decent food, friendly service. Forgot to package up the meat portion of my order. Didn’t realize this until we got all the way back to the hotel where my very hungry children were waiting to eat after a 7 hour drive. Bummer. Had to drive back out the retrieve the meat and the workers were apologetic but offered no compensation for my trouble, I’m not talking money, maybe a an additional side or dessert just something for the inconvenience. Slaw was not the best side choice and the ‘banana’ pudding that cost $7 for a tiny potion had not a single banana ♀️
