This is a pretty solid vegan spot, but you can definitely tell that the food is vegan if you are a meat eater. It just doesn’t have quite a similar flavor and it’s not as satisfying, with most of the food having some artificial flavor to it. I got to try their breakfast sandwich (“no egg” bagel), ranch, and peaches n cream egg roll.

The egg just tasted strange. It was somewhat greasy and very artificial. The bagel itself was fine but just very standard. An okay price for the portion. The ranch it was served with was also watery and just didn’t hit the spot. I will say though, I added a hashbrown and the hashbrown was very good.

The egg roll was a bit better, but still had some artificial flavor to it. Portion was fine and the peaches tasted reasonably fresh for something like this. Not bad.

All in all, it’s an okay spot. The food looked better on the photos. The presentation is almost always good but the flavor is not so much.

I knew I would have some difficulties with figuring out what to order as I have a gluten intolerance however an employee helped me out. I believe I ordered the breakfast bagel without the bagel and I got two dessert egg rolls (peach cobbler and apple pie). I was obviously disappointed that nearly everything contained gluten and they didn’t have a gluten free batter, but perhaps they might consider it. The egg rolls were alright, they were extremely sweet in my opinion and the breakfast bagel without the bagel was just a sad meal. In the end I think I paid way too much for such a small amount of food that wasn’t very satisfying.

This was the best in-house vegan meat we have ever had. My husband and son got the fried chicken sandwiches- the crunch was so good and texture was perfect. I am gluten free so I got the cheese steak egg roll. I did a double take after that first bite, it tastes so much like ground beef, I was mindblown. And they saved the best for last- the strawberry cheesecake eggroll is AMAZING. We will be back for sure! Whether you’re vegan or not, this food is made with love and so delicious.

Very cool place, great food and just ignore the bad reviews, I saw two people in the kitchen and the cashier was perfectly wonderful, although maybe new she was very kind and helpful. So, just ignore the haters. Even they say how good the food is.

Adding to my fav vegan places across the globe.

Keep doing what you do.

I was really excited to try another vegan spot in Pittsburgh, especially one serving fried mushroom, which is my favorite. I had a breakfast sandwich and my friend got the chick’n sandwich, both using fried blue oyster mushroom. And it looked really good as well

But I’m really disappointed to say it was near inedible. I do understand fried food is going to be a bit greasy, in fact, I’m counting on it. But multiple bites of both dishes were nothing but breading that was so saturated with grease, it dripped out as we bit down. The breakfast sandwich was also heavily, heavily oversalted, I’m working off a headache from eating just half of it, and there was a really odd aftertaste to the bagel, almost soapy?

I hope to give this place another chance, maybe try something not mushroom based, but I spent nearly $40 and we ended up just feeling quite ill from trying to eat our meals to justify the price. Based on the other reviews I’m hoping my experience was a fluke but man, that was just extremely bad

I LOVE this place. The food is so good every time – so good actually that my non-vegan friends think it’s just as delicious! I’m finally writing a review, as I got the full pan of the catered mac ‘n’ cheese and banana pudding for a recent party and they were the hits of the night. My plant-based/dairy allergic friends and family were so grateful and the full-dairy crowd loved it just as much (and most had no idea!). Moodz catering is going to be a staple at all our events! <3

Literally the best vegan chikn I’ve ever had. I got the Nashville hot. Crispy, seasoned to perfection. Just good beyond words. Get it!! My husband got a wrap because they let us know it was wrap Wednesday which gave a hefty discount for a great sized wrap. Equally as delicious. We split the jalepeno bac’n fries. Also amazing. I’m super full which is hard sometimes with vegan food. They’re doing it right here. Were told something different goes on sale almost every day. Can’t wait to come back.

Finally!!!! A vegan restaurant with some soul! Everything i tried was beyond my expectations! From the food to the dessert.
The restaurant is black-owned, and the owner is very polite and patient. She had no problem answering any of our questions.
My mom and I tried it as a part of her Mother’s Day gift. My mom is a food critic and has a dairy allergy and loved everything she had.
This place was everything!!!!

Food absolutely incredible I’m beyond satisfied and ready for a nap. I’m vegetarian and my boyfriend eats meat and we both fell in love with the food after our first bite.
Bit on the pricier side but well worth it especially to support black businesses! Low key glad it’s not super close to our houses because we would patronize them every. single. day. We’ll definitely be back and we’re telling our friends and family. Owners are super pleasant too!

We are a vegetarian and meat eater couple. We drove 2 hours to try this food and got there around 3:30. One of the owners said the dining room was closed and take out only, but when we told her “Oh no we drove hours to get here.” She told us we could stay and eat at the counter up front.
You order on a tablet at the counter and we decided on oyster mushrooms pieces, hot honey sandwich, and bacon bit cheese fries to share. The fries were a little salty but still good. The sandwich was tasty and the sauce was on the side to avoid it being too soggy. The absolute HIGHLIGHT of our lunch was the pieces. The mushroom pieces/sandwich were crispy and the batter flavorful. We tried 3 sauce to dip in. The ranch and sweet chili were delicious, but the lemon pepper BBQ one was too salty to enjoy.
Overall a great experience. Friendly staff and good food.
