Just discovered this little Korean place near Cerritos Mall, and it’s already a favorite. It’s not the most obvious spot from the outside, but the moment I walked in, I knew I’d found something good.
Came here specifically for their famous soondae, they have a $15.99 All Day Special. The special comes with a choice of soondae soup (or ox bone soup w/brisket and glass noodle), rice, and several banchan—easily enough for a full meal.
I went with the mix version, which had two kinds of soondae plus generous slices of meat and innards. (They also have a soondae-only option.) The broth had clearly been simmered for a while—rich, deep, and warming all the way down. The soondae is handmade and incredibly clean-tasting—zero off-putting flavors.
Also ordered the spicy braised short rib. Portion was solid. The beef ribs were huge and cooked until tender enough to fall off the bone. Spicy, savory, and the kind of thing you want to keep picking at. Lots of veggies too—pumpkin, carrot, potato, rice cake, mushroom—all soaked up that braising liquid and perfect over rice.
Biggest surprise of the meal? The chive pancake. SO crispy! The edges were browned and crunchy, and that first bite—crunch—released this big hit of chive aroma. Honestly had me at the first bite.
Every dish here feels thoughtful and comforting. It’s the kind of spot you already want to go back to before you’ve even left. If you’re into authentic Korean food or just happen to be near Cerritos Mall or Disney, definitely worth a stop. I’m already planning my next order.
The heart of this restaurant is in its soups. Let me be clear: each bowl is slow-cooked for hours. You can taste it in every spoonful—the broth is rich, deep, and incredibly hearty. It doesn’t just warm your stomach; it feels like a hug from the inside.
We ordered the , and it was a revelation. The (blood sausage) is perfectly chewy, comforting flavor that pairs beautifully with the robust broth. This isn’t an intimidating dish—it’s homey, satisfying, and truly authentic.
The overall feeling here is traditional and warm. No loud music, no distracting décor—just simple tables and the incredible aroma of slow-simmered soups. You really feel like the food was cooked with heart.
If you’ve been wanting to try real Korean blood sausage soup, this is the spot. It’s the kind of meal that stays with you, the kind you crave on a rainy day. I left feeling nourished, happy, and already planning my next visit.
The Beef Rib Soup with Glass Noodles was deeply flavorful and comforting, and the Spicy Braised Beef Short Rib was tender with a generous portion. The chive pancake was crispy and perfect to share.
I really appreciate the small details—from the clean dining environment to the smart, sealed takeout boxes. You can tell this is a well-run chain with consistent quality.
Friends highly recommended the handmade blood sausage, so I’ll try that next visit.
Delicious, warm, and great value. Highly recommended!
The beef rib soup with glass noodle was super comforting. Two huge beef rib filled the bowl, with egg strands, scallions, and glass noodles. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich, and not greasy at all. I ended up finishing every drop.
We also ordered the sweet braised beef rib. The pot was loaded —beef rib, kabocha squash, sweet potato, and mushrooms. If you love braised beef rib dishes, this is a win.
They’re known for their house-made soondae, and the broth is slow-simmered for hours. There’s currently a $6 off deal on the soondae soup, which I sadly missed this time because my friend doesn’t eat blood sausage — already planning a return with the right crew.
They also have a great weekday combo after 3pm (spicy pork neck + soondae soup, with or without seafood pancake). Perfect if you want something hot and satisfying after work or on a chilly day.
It’s not your everyday Korean restaurant. They have unique dishes and the presentation of the food here is stunning. In addition, the service is amazing. The server checked in on the meat (for the Hinoki – Brisket with Veggies) and let us know when it was ready to eat. He was also great about checking in and making sure we had everything we needed the whole time, including water.
Such an amazing Korean restaurant! I’ll definitely be back again soon.
