Fresh, hot and delicious! My favorite Thai restaurant for ‘drunken noodle’. Takeout and watch the sunset at the beach! Thank you Mama Sang for the love that goes into your dishes!

Update: Moo Yai Thai was featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Season 42 episode 21. Watch On Demand.
This place opened on April 2019. They started off with basic Thai dishes.
Drinks, my current favorite is the coconut water with coconut meat. Also try the traditional Thai iced tea or the Thai tea with lime juice. Apps, I love the curry puffs. The pastry is very light and the stuffing is delish! Actually get the Moo Yai sampler and that will include the puffs, chicken satay, pork skewers and dumplings. Dumplings by the way has good portion of ground pork.
Let me just state my favorite dishes
Pad Thai chicken
Steak salad
Coconut soup with chicken
Pineapple fried rice
Seafood fried rice (good portion of crab meat!)
Specials (dine in only)
Steak cut in strips
Crispy duck
Pork cooked 2 ways
Chicken with peanut sauce (similar to chicken satay)
Garlic shrimp which is the number one favorite special
Desserts you both enjoy the fried bananas and mango sticky rice.
I go there many time you might see me there
Enjoy!

Here in Sept of 2025. I’m wondering if anyone is feeling the same way about this place as me. Don’t love leaving mediocre reviews bc I know how it can harm a business, but feel compelled since I am a true Thai food lover and this place has not been it for me. I’m from North Jersey originally and NYC where Thai food is usually easy to come by and delicious. Down here, it’s not so common. This place is the closest one to us so we usually order out of proximity. The flavors are bland and there’s not much richness to the food. For over $18 a meal, I feel like it should be much better. Am I alone?

Best Thai I’ve had around here in a longgggg time. The papaya salad is super authentic! I ordered takeout from here and everyone at the restaurant was extremely nice, didn’t take long at all, and the food was still hot when I arrived home. The Thai fried rice was excellent and the curries were also authentic and very flavorful. I do think the mango sticky rice should be slightly saltier like it is in Thailand, but it still hit the spot. I’m so excited about this place – it’ll be my next go-to for Thai in this area!

I ordered drunken noodles with chicken. This is no exaggeration, they were the best I have ever had. It was so good. The noodles were perfect, not all stuck together. The flavor was perfect, not sweetened to make up for the right spice. I will go many times again. The little 4-year old hostess was also remarkable!

Moo Yai Thai has become an absolute favorite for my wife and me, and we can’t recommend it enough! My wife has celiac disease and a dairy allergy, so eating out can sometimes be challenging, but the staff here are incredibly knowledgeable about food allergies. They are meticulous in ensuring her meal is safe, and after dining at Moo Yai Thai well over 50 times, she has never gotten sick—a testament to their dedication and care.
As for the food, I’ve made it my mission to try almost everything on their menu, and it’s all amazing. That said, there are some standout dishes I keep coming back to. The **Tom Yum Soup** is a flavor explosion—perfectly balanced with tangy, spicy, and savory notes. The **Pad Thai with Peanut Sauce on the Side** is a comforting classic, done exceptionally well. If you’re a fan of pork dishes, the **Pad Basil with Pork** and the **Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Pork** are must-tries—they pack just the right amount of heat and are bursting with flavor.
Whether you have dietary restrictions or are just looking for consistently delicious Thai food, Moo Yai Thai delivers every time. It’s a gem in Sea Bright that we feel lucky to have in our rotation!

Was excited to try this place, but disappointed. My food was ok taste and portion wise, but my sister ordered the pad see ew and it barely had any noodles and looked like someone had eaten half of it. Each dish was $19 and honestly not worth that price.

The service was terrific. We were greeted with smiles and a very attentive waitress. The food is good but it is served takeout style so you’re eating out of the plastic containers. It was worth the drive to see bright Northampton County Pennsylvania we saw the Diners Drive-Ins and dives episode and decided to check it out beautiful day down the shore!

This is probably the best Thai restaurant in NJ, offering the closest experience to authentic Thai cuisine we’ve found. It’s a lovely, family-owned establishment that truly values quality without inflating prices. After enjoying incredible Thai food in Atlanta, we were disappointed by the high-priced, low-quality offerings in NJ. Thankfully, we discovered this gem—finally, a place that serves genuinely authentic Thai dishes. We will keep returning back.
