I got my partner a beautiful birthday cake from here a couple of weeks ago. I went in not knowing what to get, but the staff were so kind and helpful and even wrote a birthday message on the cake at no extra charge. I got a strawberry shortcake, which i recommended! The cake was delicious and priced very reasonably. Lots of variety of sweet and savory foods beyond cake.

A great local spot, they always have fun seasonal offerings and well stocked pastry cases. The pizza slices are traditional Italian thin crust, well priced and always delicious. The staff are always incredibly helpful and cheerful, great with kids and happy to recommend things. Today a guy dropped his pizza on the way out; they helped him clean it up and then replaced the whole thing for free. Classy establishment, big recommend.

I left the area 5 years ago and cannot for my life find a decent Italian bakery. This was my go to shop for like 10 years. My favorite is the fruit tart – used to bring it home to my family for Christmas. Montilio’s makes the best desserts and everyone in Quincy knows that. Other places try to look fancy on Instagram but the quality of the product doesn’t live up to the shiny pictures and trendy themes, if you want actually delicious food for eating this is the place to go.

This is the last time I will be going to your bakery as I spent over $30 on cupcakes and cake slices to bring to a party out of town and I was so embarrassed at how old these products were and you still selling them!! The cupcakes were hard as rocks, the frosting was like glue and the cake slices were so old that the moisture just took over and there was no taste whatsoever… horrible!! Nothing was edible!!
The most disgusting bakery items I have ever had in my life!! You should be ashamed of yourselves for selling old stale products !!They should have been discarded by your staff a few weeks ago!! The shelf life of these was way overdue!!

I came to this bakery in Quincy Ma, wanting to make something special for a dear friend entering a new chapter in life. I wanted her cake to feel celebratory..with the words “She Lived Happily Ever After” on top and Ella went above and beyond to make that vision come to life. She was patient, thoughtful, and just as sweet as the cake itself! Her care and kindness turned a simple order into a beautiful memory. Thank you, Ella, for your warm heart and attention to detail. You made the moment unforgettable.

Place has a family-run feel to it, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is tasty and well-made, and the cupcake is just the right amount of moist. Can’t wait to try out their other pastries at a later time.

Truly the best wedding cake I have ever had, would use Montilio’s a million times over. We ordered their apple spice and chocolate raspberry stracciatella for our cake and it was DELICIOUS! It was so good, my maid of honor literally called the day after to order the apple cake for her own party. Montilio’s also did a fabulous table for us featuring a variety of Italian pastries. My dad is Italian and it was important to have a little nod to him and his favorite sweets, and Montilio’s was perfect! Everything arrived on time and looked beautiful. The staff was great at communicating and setting up our order and tasting. They are an ideal, old school Italian bakery but with modern service! I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 would stuff my face again!

I’m updating this review in response to Montillios response. SEE BOTTOM. Hit or miss. I have been going there specifically for the “Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins” for about a year now. In the beginning they were awesome, now not so much. The original recipe
For blueberry muffins calls for mashed and whole blueberries, which they skip the mashed part. Over the past few months the muffins have gotten worse. They look like they are loaded with blueberries on the outside but when you cut it there are barely any on the inside. Very disappointing. And sometimes they are overcooked. I’ve also noticed that the baker on the weekend does a better job. Not as overcooked and more blueberries on the weekend. Consistently is the #1 thing that makes a food establishment successful. If you’re going to market them as Jordan Marsh muffins and At $4.50 per muffin I expect just that, the recipe to be followed with quality and consistency.
RESPONSE: thank you for responding to
My review so quickly. My pics are absolutely the Jordan Marsh muffins. I ONLY buy the muffins from behind the counter. I ask for a Montillios box every time and purchase between 4-6, depending on the day. I know the muffins that you are referring to, I purchased them 1 time and did not like them.

This is the first time I have been in this place, I was planning to get a coffee at this place, but i changed my mind after I walked in to the place. It’s not only a coffee shop it’s a pastries shop. There are so man different kinds of breads rolls and pastries and also they have pizzas and sandwiches for lunch, the place is small but it is clean and organize. There are three cashiers and they are super friendly. After I got served and the cashier reminded me that where the straws are because I got a coffee. This is a great place for you to have coffee and quick lunch, I will be back to the place!
