It’s hilarious! I’ve lived here in Monticello for 3 years now and never tried this place until now! The lines were always so long and so I always pushed it off. I regret not trying it sooner! I see now why they have so much business! I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. So delicious! Very tasty! The service is also top notch! The staff are friendly, efficient, and fast! The way they run things is very organized and orderly. I only deducted a point for not being able to order hot food at the drive thru. I guess I understand it, it definitely helps the line to move quicker but it would be nice! I will definitely be coming back!

Had the bagel man breakfast sandwich on a toasted onion bagel, and it was awesome. The bagels are as fresh as you can possibly get, and they are delicious!!! The service is fast and friendly.

This is an excellent bakery: clean, well run, fresh and tasty product, accommodating hours, fair price ($18 for 13 pieces) — and Monticello sorely needs quality businesses. We’ve been hoping for a town revival for 50 years. There’s only one problem, but it’s a big one: THEY DON’T MAKE BAGELS! Their “bagels” are bagel shaped club rolls. They’re delicious but they’re NOT bagels. Confirming proof is that they come out of the oven attached to each other and are pulled apart at the sales counter. I don’t know how a tray of connected rolls can be put through a proper bagel process. My 3-star rating applies if you want to buy bagels. If excellent rolls are your goal, count it as a 5-star bakery.

People use to come from all over different counties in New York for these bagels. Jewish people use to own this an the bagels were the best. I traveled to this shop for these bagels I could not wait. I got them home it looks like a bagel but they are just bread that looks smells like a bagel the texture is soft like white bread the an it taste like white bread nothing like a bagel at all Never will I go to this place again I’m sorry but it’s a fake bagel! I’m going to have to find a real bagel shop. This was a total disappointment an way too much money I got a dozen of fake bagels an a thing of cream cheese an locks an was charged 43$. Waist of time an money. I traveled far for to get fake bagels an poor service an it did not look clean. Total disappointment!

Besides charging us for 2 extra bagels, and a container of lox (which wasn’t even in the bag). The bagels we did order were amazing! Delicioussssas! We got the monster, and lox and cream cheese. Best bagels I’ve had in my life. Even ordered another Monster. Better bagels than the city. Coffee was pretty freakin great too. What a gem.
