Very quiet place, seems very alone but dont let that fool you! As a Mexican it is very hard to find authentic Mexican food that I actually enjoy BUT THIS PLACE IS IT!!! Omg every single taco i tried was amazing! I completely recommend coming here because it’s VERY WOTH IT!

10/10! Loved this place. We drove in from Chicago and were looking for authentic Mexican food that would live up to Chicago standards and this place was amazing! Everything was SOO well seasoned/cooked, great portions, 1000% authentic & fresh! & the restaurant was SO clean! Oh and plus great friendly service! Definitely recommend trying

Was in the Allouez area and needed to eat supper before driving home. Husband and I got taco dinners, Mexican style; 3 tacos with rice and refried beans. He had chorizo and I had lengua (tongue). Both were delicious! I should have stopped eating at 2 tacos but they were just so good and fresh. Dinners and a beer each cost $33 so affordable. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere is typical diner; basic booths, tables and chairs; clean. Will eat there again.

We decided to try out a new place and picked them based on their rating here. We were extremely impressed! Customer service was impeccable, fast, warm, courteous and friendly.
Menu is short and easy to understand. Everything was well defined also.
I ordered the chicken quesadilla American style. It was so good and huge! The chicken was really tender, juicy and packed with flavor. Best ive had at least in this area.
My husband ordered the beef tacos. He said he was surprised to see they had used shredded Muenster which was a great idea because it tasted awesome. He also recommended getting avacodo if you like it.
Overall we both highly recommend Montes Taqueria!!

Needed a place to eat. Went with Mexican food, and ended up going to this place because it looked good. Honestly, place was small and cozy, and bathrooms were clean. Ordered some tacos, and a plate with rice and beans, and it was delicious. Finished everything in one sitting! Highly reccomend.

This place was SO delicious. Quiet little store, doesn’t look like anything special. Clean. Small menu. The food though! Cooked perfectly. More authentic than all the ameri-mex restaurants in the area. Al pastor was juicy. Nice spice level. Great enchiladas with corn tortillas and real sauce (NOT canned tomato sauce with nacho cheese haha). Shimp torta 10/10. Sooo yummy.

Currently trying to find the best chips and salsa, lime margaritas and steak tacos, which are then graded on a scale of 1-5. When my child is with they rate the chicken tacos. This is our 19th stop during our taco tour.
