Went there today for lunch with my friend. Waitress was nice and attentive. Place was clean. Its family owned, which is nice to see. My mom used to take me here years ago, so I decided to show my friend just how good the food was. Prices were fair. They have lunch specials. Try it if you haven’t had a chance. Hot sauce was delicious. Nachos. Tostado. Enchiladas. Cheese dip. Waters. Less than $30.

Lunch with the Disabilities Group today at Monterey’s. Food was good. Service was good but it was busy and it took quite a while to get our food. BUT, you received plenty of food for the price, and it was very tasty. Restaurant was a little cold, and the bathrooms need repairs.

Went with some coworkers. Had to get up and ask for menus after like 10 minutes. The food was okay at best. The server was friendly but was full of excuses. I might go back but it’s not a place I would recommend. I do not wish them the best as I am a supporter of local businesses.

Great people, great Salsa and the best cheese enchilada plate in the known universe! My wife and I travel a lot and we love Mexican food, we always hit up Monterreys first thing when we return home for a plate of enchiladas! Oh, and anyone that can make beans taste SO GOOD is an artist in the kitchen. If you love Arminta’s in San Angelo or Joe T’s in Ft Worth then you will love this place!!!

Omg the BEST salsa in Abilene!! Finally a place close enough to what I enjoyed in Houston. The queso is canned, but that’s what’s normal up here. Rice was ok… but y’all that salsa… yummm and we had a super sweet waitress.
