We absolutely loved this spot! The parking lot looked full so we worried about seating but they accommodated us immediately. We placed our orders and food/drinks/appetizers were nearly immediate! I rarely see service that fast!
We were passing through from Maryland and were blown away by the hospitality, quality of service, and prices. The staff was so amazing, from being greeted at the door, to the servers, and even to the staffer clearing tables, they were so welcoming and attentive! Definitely Not the service you find more north
We would definitely recommend this location and hope to visit it again!

I’m sorry to say that both of our meals were not up to our standards. We may be too picky, coming from an area that has great Mexican food. When I cut into my enchilada, it was dry with no cheese and a little bit of green sauce on top. My husband’s Chili Verde was large chunks of pork, to big to eat or wrap in a tortilla with the same sauce. Great service though!

Monterrey has some of the best Mexican food in this area. The quality is superb and everything is so fresh and cooked to order. The shrimp are cooked to perfection and they serve the large shrimp, not the small salad shrimp with each order. The zucchini and squash is also one of my favorites. If you want some good quality Mexican food , you won’t go wrong by Selecting Monterrey’s Mexican Restaurant on Washington Road!!
Oh let me not forget the Margaritas are on point for those that need a little something extra to drink. Goota love it, I do!!

Service was slow. We come every year a group of a minimum 12 people normally more. We get a reservation and go watch the GA vs TN game. We are normally met with wonderful attitudes and great service. From the beginning of our visit we were mostly forgotten. We had to wait ten minutes to get drinks…. then I had to search out our waitress so we could order. The food was good nothing great but tasted good. We barely saw our waitress and ended up with a waiter. Had to ask for refills. And when I was about order another margarita they stopped serving us completely. Out of 11 people who were about order dessert they told us we needed to leave that they needed the table. I explained we were waiting till the end of the game and asked to talk to the manager, he never came out.. so we did get to finish the game, but with absolutely no table service.

This is my second time and both times have not been good . Decided to get food with the family & I definitely wish we would have went else where. Thinking since last time I ordered to go at the dinner rush I was understanding why some of my items were made sloppy or made incorrectly after specifying . The place is cute ,wasn’t a long wait too be seated. The servers aren’t great but they aren’t horrible . Now when I come to a restaurant too sit down I understand with that food can take some time too cook especially depending on what’s being cooked. So when I place an order for steak fajitas and it comes out 6 minutes later along with the rest of my tables food I’m in question . Well the rice was cold , the veggies in the fajita weren’t cooked some still hard . The steak wasn’t hot , felt and tasted reheated . The salad mix had a mix of old and new lettuce . Just seems like they spit food out and don’t care of the products they put out. Has a potential but I’m unsure if it’s poor manger skills or lazy workers .

After moving from Atlanta I was looking for a good Mexican Restaurant & after trying several restaurant I have to say Monterrey is one of the best ones in Augusta. Everytime I visit I am always greeted with the biggest smile. The food is always fresh, delicious & everyone is AMAZING! They are very clean and during this pandemic they took extra precautions to make sure everything was sanitized.

We went and ate supper there as we usually do and I got the same thing as I always order. Shredded chicken taco with rice. I ordered 3 tacos and ate one and left the other two for the next day. Well today, when I took a bite of of the LAST one, I bit in to raw chicken, and then opened the taco to find it was more than just that piece. Y’all be careful eating chicken here

Went here for the first time I have been to a restaurant that I’ve disliked one thing but my chicken quesadilla was cold and the chicken tasted like cat food and the mild salsa tasted like tomato sauce!
I sent back food and then they brought me a hard as hell shell taco with cold cheese and beef that also tasted like cat food!
The manager also told me that mild salsa always tastes like tomato sauce?! Would love to have many opinions on a manager of a Mexican restaurant saying that!! Wow!

We arrived at the busiest time of the night, but the wait was only 30 minutes. Great margaritas and of course the food was great! Jasmine was great as our waitress tonight! All around a great experience!
