Over the years this Monterrey location has become the go to spot for my family when we’re wanting a comfortable Mexican meal. Being the simple man that I am, I can’t help but stick to the basic Pollo Con Crema. The portions are perfect to fill you up and have some for later, and the food always comes out hot. The servers always have a great attitude and keep your glasses filled. When it comes to this place, I have nothing to complain about!

We arrived at the busiest time of the night, but the wait was only 30 minutes. Great margaritas and of course the food was great! Jasmine was great as our waitress tonight! All around a great experience!

I deliver door dash orders and Sunday I got another order to deliver and from the time I got the order I waited over 30 minutes and finally called door dash to have myself removed. Delivery driver’s for door dash can only make good money If the restaurant has the food ready in a timely manner. This was my 3rd call to this restaurant over the weekend and I loose money when I go there because of the awfully long wait. If we decline the delivery we loose percentage points and it affects our status and higher paying deliveries. I pride myself in getting my customers food and delivering it while it’s still hot. They along with a few other restaurants put food delivery last. The manager even came out yesterday and told an employee to cut off the door dash app.

The food was excellent but the Texas margarita wasn’t good. I’m happy to say the manager fixed it and was very understanding. He agreed that we probably didn’t get what we ordered and he made it right. (I think it was the manager) but whoever it was took care of us.

Do Not Recommend for authentic Mexican food!!Host was friendly. Regarding waiter, . My mom was craving a burrito and ask the server for recommendations. Server replied ” the menu is right here, that’s what we offer”. One of the meals placed was a burrito. It was a joke. Presentation looked like a salad that was made without care.

I just ordered four street tacos.. three steak and one grilled chicken. Spanish rice on the side. The chips and salsa comes with the meal. When I tell you every ingredient is fresh, steak to perfection, chips to perfection and golden crispy. Cilantro is fresh, fresh salsa, I’m eating the hot, crispy, golden fried to perfection. I’m about to walk back in and pay for another bag, sheesh this definitely in my top 5 restaurants I’ve eaten at in Augusta, GA. You other restaurants need to come take notice on how to prepare food with fresh ingredients

After moving from Atlanta I was looking for a good Mexican Restaurant & after trying several restaurant I have to say Monterrey is one of the best ones in Augusta. Everytime I visit I am always greeted with the biggest smile. The food is always fresh, delicious & everyone is AMAZING! They are very clean and during this pandemic they took extra precautions to make sure everything was sanitized.

Today, we were denied access with our service dogs even after speaking with the manager until I straight up asked him if we were being denied access. The hostess said no. He told us that we needed to have vests and service dog ID badges. No, we don’t.

Most of the food is very good but they dont always understand what you ask for. Margaritas are great if you get them Texan (too shelf) style. Pleasant atmosphere during day and good service. At night it can be noisy from karaoke and service spotty.
