We LOVE this place! We come probably once a week. The food is great and a wonderful value for money. We always have leftovers! The staff are always kind, professional, and thoughtful. My husband loves extra spicy salsa and the manager sends it over when he sees us walk in.

Visited Monterrey’s in Taylor’s on July 26th for dinner. Especially enjoyed the shrimp cocktail with avocado, queso and guacamole with chips and salsa. Service was excellent food was fresh and delicious. Entrees of grilled chicken with rice and beans and a shrimp quesadilla were also very good.
No reservation was required and plenty of free parking.

Waited a little over 30 minutes for food to go. Went to check in status only to see my order sitting in the counter with nobody insight. Someone finally came up and said something along the lines of oh yeah here’s your order. I asked how long it had been sitting up there. She said 5-10 minutes. I told her I’d been sitting in the same spot waiting on the order, she said she didn’t see me. I checked the food while she stood there and it was cold. I ask if they could remake it and NOT microwave it. She said they wouldn’t microwave it. In less than 5 minutes the “remake” was complete. Food was microwaved to the point the bread was soaking wet and soggy. Those who use microwave know it only stays hot for a very few minutes afterwards. So, I had to reheat food again when I got home. The quesadillas were not edible because they were so soggy. This was definitely $40 flushed down the toilet. I’m very disappointed since this was our first time acting from this restaurant.

We used to love this place but the last two visits have been horrible. About a year ago our family went and the portions were much small than normal. We gave a second chance just 2 weeks ago and found a raw potato slice under one of our dinners that shouldn’t have any potato at all and the cheese in the Spinach/Cheese appetizer was like water. It’s a shame this business has changed so much for the worse. Service was good though, but I doubt we’ll go back.

We were celebrating a down syndrome person birthday. Monterrey made it a very special occasion for her. Everyone came and wished her a happy birthday. Treated as royalty. It was my first time but I am ready to go back for dinner tomorrow night.
