The food is so good me and my wife had a tlayudas and mole been a long time since I have had a tlayuda that reminds me of my home in Oaxaca. They also had some amazing agua frescas we had all 3 flavors and they were amazing the horchata and tamarind actually taste authentic not like other place that we have gone too where it just syrup. The owners were so nice they talked to my wife and I about there home town in Oaxaca. Everything was so lovely will for sure be back .☺️☺️

We are excited to have been told about this gem of a restaurant. The food is delicious, well priced and good portions. My vegetarian wife enjoyed 2 green bean tamales ($10) while I did my best to finish a huge bowl of Pozole (pork and chicken). Don’t skip on ordering the yummy and super fresh guacamole. The staff are welcoming and attentive.

Came for Mexican breakfast and left full and happy. We ordered the chilaquelis and huevos rancheros and both were delicious. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was pretty empty when we came in which was pretty surprising considering how good the food was. Would definitely come back next time we are in Astoria !

Good food, unique salsa and loved the jalapeños toreados… almost too spicy!
I had the Carne Asada. The beef had a great flavor but was very tough and dries out quickly after the plate hit the table. If not for the jalapeños, this would have been 3 stars. I’ll try this place again when I come back to Astoria in January.

The carne asada tacos are so delicious. Simple, flavorful, a real treat! I’ve tried many restaurants and these are among the best tacos I’ve had. The mole is also very good and the staff are very sweet.

Cheery interior, clean. Friendly, prompt service. Horchata was delicious and refreshing. Enmoladas Oaxaquenas were made with perfectly prepared chicken rich with flavor enrobed in a lucious mole. The additional Oaxacan cheese was a nice touch.

Wow. I’m so glad I tried this place – one of the best Mexican breakfasts I’ve ever had. (And I lived in Texas so that’s saying a lot!) Gorgeous, huge, piping hot house-made corn tortillas, perfect huevos a la Mexicana with rice and black beans, excellent house-made sauces — and beautiful interior. Do yourself a favor and stop in!!

Terrible customer service the horchata had no taste of cinnamon didn’t taste blended properly they refused to remake it or refund it argued that it is a pre-made drink that had a lot of cinammon. I’ve had horchata at other places there was no taste of cinnamon. Wait staff was very argumentative and refused to correct the drink order or make it better.
