You get a lot of food, not always a whole lot of flavor. Their pizza is honestly pretty bad. Very greasy and bland. Their pasta, meatballs, sausage and sides are solid. Sandwichs are good but their bread a little too thick to take a proper bite sometimes. They offer a variety of bottles soft drinks, beers, and wine.
The restaurant really crushed it with its ambiance. One area is a pizza parlor, the smaller room feels like you’re inside a wine cellar, the largest room that is more cafeteria style, and there is a small outdoor terrace as well. Throughout most of these sections are murals from the Italian classic “Pinocchio” (Pleasure Island, Monstro, his transformationinto a real boy, etc). What I love about these murals is that they didn’t use the typical Disneyfied version of the characters. They have clear bathrooms, too, which is a huge plus.
Conjoined is their Italian market where you can buy fresh sliced deli meats & cheeses, get scoops of Gelato, and buy a wide array of Italian imports. This section is also themed to Pinocchio, but with actual marionettes of the titular character.

Wish I had discovered this place sooner. Love the combined deli and restaurant that makes the atmosphere special. Great selection, food and value

I took my two children to eat on a Saturday around 3. We ordered lasagna and a pepperoni pizza. The lasagna and garlic bread were a perfect pair. Beware: A fresh pizza takes about 35 minutes to make. So be prepared to wait for it to take home or order ahead. For $17, it was well worth the wait! All in, I left and spent less than $60 (and we each got drinks from the refrigerated drink section). Clutch!

I use to like coming here over arcade ago but this place has really gone down. From the food to the cleanliness of the restaurant. I think the most disturbing of all the customer service! I don’t know if they are ex cons but they talk and act they are. They look like they just got out of bed and the ones serving the food look very dingy. I called and left a message for the owner who by the way never called me back because the experience I had with a Hispanic man preparing my pasta. The pasta was dry and hardly had sauce I explained I don’t have a problem paying extra but there was no sauce to begin with he argued with me and made me feel very uncomfortable in front of the other people in line. Then proceeded to go in the back and tell everyone’s they are now looking at me m. I haven’t seen one woman in here, maybe that’s why are like that, maybe they are sexist. I don’t recommend this place it’s not clean and the staff are not nice and it looks like they haven’t dusted since I have been here over a decade ago. The decor is ok just dirty, I think the best part is the music.

This is a lovely store with beautiful items, but the counter staff experience is unacceptable. On two separate visits, I was clearly next in line and was ignored while male customers were helped instead.
I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but the pattern was impossible to ignore. I’ve been helped by a woman on staff before and had a great experience, but the men behind the counter made me feel dismissed and unwelcome.
It’s disappointing, because I would love to support this small business — but I can’t if I’m not treated equally.

OK, I’m Italian and grew up in Northern California in the 50s. Every Saturday my mom would take my sister and I with her to the ITALIAN MARKET in downtown San Jose. This was where I learned to appreciate Italian food and how to shop in an Italian market. Coming to Monte Carlo’s was like reliving my childhood. The “Aroma of Italy” and visual choices of food and pastry was overwhelming. I could have purchased everything ! I took home some, Mortadella w/Pistachios,Provolone, Sopressata Salami and Lupini Beans. I then went to the restaurant side and took home a Combination Italian Sub with a three bean Salad. It was delicious ! I know I’ll be back. Niente è meglio del buon cibo Italiano “authentico” !CIA0 !

Even though this place is nowhere near my house, I have to go every year to buy the ingredients for my family sauce. Genuinely the best spot to get real Italian ingredients. The pricing is reasonable, the selection is outstanding, and the service is perfection. It’s a tradition!

This deli is one of the best deli’s in a 30 mile radius. The best fresh bread, Gelato, and a surprise variety of products that you don’t see at most delis. The service can be slow at times. But I’m telling you, it’s worth the wait. You’ll want to become a regular at this deli

I’ve had to drive to Burbank frequently for work every so often over the last 2 years, and without fail, I always stop here for a pick me up!
Whether it’s a break to use the restroom and stretch while grabbing a delicious home style meal, or picking up some cookies or gelato before a long drive home. The team at Monte Carlo’s have the best attitude and never fail to brighten up any kind of day.
The perfect place for a comfort meal and good company.
