Incredible food every single time. The staff are so attentive and welcoming, and I honestly can’t fault a thing — I’ve never had a bad meal here. I’ve been coming for years and will definitely continue. Highly recommend!

This is our favourite Indian restaurant in the west Suffolk/ East Cambridgeshire area! Always top notch food and very friendly service. The menu is not your normal madras/ vindaloo style though you can have that if you insist but stick to their specialties, they are suberb!

We love Montaz, been going there for years. Definitely the best curry choice in the local area. Great welcome, we had chicken madras and chicken jalfrezi, the mushroom side dish (love) and the Dhal. They change their menu seasonally so always something to choose from.

Visited for Valentine’s Day. The ambiance was lovely and the waiters were attentive and friendly. Now, the food… it was exceptional. Absolutely stunning quality flavours and textures. Not oily or greasy in any way. It’s been a while since we visited, but after this experience we will definitely be back very soon.

Went to the newly refurbished Montaz last night for an impromptu meal. Classy decor with a warm, welcoming vibe. Food was spot on. Every dish packed with flavour and presented beautifully. The lamb chops were the highlight for me. Prices match the quality and still feel like great value. Top service from the staff too. Highly recommend if you’re after Michelin level food without the Michelin price tag.

Montaz Indian came out of the blocks fast — straight away the flavours hit strong, bold, and full of life. Every dish felt like it had real purpose, neatly presented and packed with the kind of punch that keeps you moving through the meal with excitement. Proper stamina food!

The only thing that lost a bit of pace was the finish. Instead of warm towels, we got something closer to soggy bandages — not exactly the cooldown you’d hope for after such a strong run.

But overall? A great performance on the plate, and definitely worth another lap.

I had high expectations after hearing so many glowing reviews about Montaz, but sadly my experience was very underwhelming. For a restaurant that markets itself as “fine dining Indian,” the food fell short — the portions were tiny for the price, and several dishes were bland rather than vibrant. My lamb curry was lukewarm when it arrived, and the naan bread tasted more like a dry flatbread than the fluffy, fragrant kind I was expecting.

Service also left much to be desired. While the staff were polite enough, everything felt rushed and impersonal, as if they were just trying to get us through the meal rather than making us feel welcome. On top of that, the wait between courses was far too long for a half-empty restaurant.

The final bill was eye-watering for what we actually got — easily double what you’d pay at other local Indian restaurants, without the quality to justify it. I don’t mind paying more for excellence, but this was style over substance. Sadly, Montaz was all hype and no delivery for me. I won’t be returning.
