This cocktail lounge is inside the Double Tree Hotel and an absolutely perfect spot fro a drink before evening plans. Very rustic and chic, great atmosphere, and of course, good drinks. We enjoyed some fresh shrimp ceviche prepared at the Montana Sky restaurant on the 20th floor. The chefs used raw shrimp and cooked it in lime juice, the only way it should be enjoyed. We added some hot sauce to give it some extra kick. I was glad to see they have Jack Daniels Single Barrel, makes for a great whiskey on the rocks, splash of Coke. Wife enjoyed a nice huckleberry alcohol with some Dr. Pepper, tasted like a float. Great spot!

I sat in an empty seat in the bar, and the bartender told me it was OK, but then got frustrated because he wanted to use that countertop. He told me, “you know, you’re gonna have to go sit somewhere else.” I complied, but I told him if he didn’t want people to sit there he should move the chair so he yelled at me and picked up the chair and slammed it really hard somewhere else and said, “you’re right. There you go.“ And I left the bar. Patron of the bar Approached me asking me why the guy was yelling at me. Horrible night. Didn’t stay. Go there if you want a mean bartender to humiliate you.

The lounge does not have a it’s own kitchen, so all food is cooked up on the 20th floor, and must travel down to the first floor lounge. By the time the elevator gets there, your food is no longer optimal. The menu at the lounge is therefore limited, but should be limited further to only a few items. If you wish to have dinner, go to the 20th floor. Because the restaurant upstairs fixes the food, it often takes a while. The gentleman in the seat next to me waited almost an hour for a hamburger. The bartender was apologetic and very attentive, but she is limited by the capabilities of the restaurant.

Overpriced hotel bar, staff is unfriendly. Definitely not a choice I would make with all the other establishments in walking distance.
