Montage was started in 1990 by Jay and Rochelle Rex. In 2000 we bought it and continue to run it to date. Montage was started primarily as a gift and floral shop. Over the years it has evolved into a caf that focuses on fresh and wholesome soups, salads, and sandwiches. We have also added an extensive selection of wine and craft beer in order to meet the demand of our customers. We still carry many unique retail items ranging from jewelry to lamps to t-shirts. We really dont have a set of rules we just do whatever looks good and what feels right, hence the name Montage. We are located at 527 South Broadway in historic downtown Greenville, Ohio. We are in the Weaver Building which was built in 1904.

We brought our senior’s group up here from West Chester, Ohio to visit several places. We chose to eat here. From food to the service, everything was excellent. At the time of our visit, the senior’s meal was $5.50 without a drink and was MORE than enough. My wife and I…not seniors…got the full sandwich, side, cookie, chips and bottled tea. the total cost for both of us was under $22. That’s better than Panera…and the food was MUCH better. The pasta sides were perfect. The right balance of dressing, spices, additonal items and pasta cooked perfectly. I got a “Booger Rays” on wheat and my wife got a Reuben. We both loved our sandwiches. The bread is homemade, soft and full of body and flavor. My wife is a big fan of Reubens and she said this was close to the best if not the best Reuben she’s ever had. There was not one negative or disappointing aspect from our whole group. They absolutely loved the place. The staff was friendly, helpful and gracious. It is also gift shop and they serve alcohol. We’re tea-totlers, so we can’t comment on that aspect. We’re coming back up to Greenville soon. It will be hard to think of eating anywhere else. We probably won’t. Go! You wont’ be disappointed.

Got the Ruben and an Oriental Salad. Good quality food, but Ohio Bland taste. Oriental salads should have ginger and other oriental tastes in it. The only taste this salad had came from the Mandarin Orange in it. Unfortunately this is Ohio Bland more likely because that is what the majority of the patrons of this restaurant want, but for those of us wanting something more, we leave wanting.
