Monster Vegan is one of the best restaurants in Philly and offers such a unique dining experience! The restaurant is like 80s horror themed, so everything from the decor to the music playing in the background transports you to another era. Overall just a really cool vibe. We dined on a Saturday evening and were able to walk up and get a table without waiting. The food is TO DIE FOR! Pictured are the dishes I got; not pictured are the dishes my dad ordered, but I will tell you, he commented multiple times how good his food was. I’ve never heard him rave about what he was eating as much as he did here. Absolutely check out Monster Vegan!

Nat was amazing. She was so sweet, efficient,and funny. She kept checking on how I was doing, always refilled my cup of water without me asking,and made me feel very welcome. The food was amazing and I’m still thinking about it after two weeks lol. Environment and theme was very cool and everything was clean. Last night I felt like I was in a fancy, schmancy restaurant! Don’t get me wrong, MV is NOICE! but the way they brought me course after course just…made me feel GRAND! They accommodated my gluten free needs, and the food was really good!

The food and the drinks are simply amazing.
The service is top tier and the decor is hand picked. Everything is hand picked from each unique cocktail to each housemade ingredient in every menu item. The taste and texture of everything we tried was just absolutely phenomenal. I am blown away! This is going to be our new regular spot.

We LOVED Monster Vegan. The decor, the vibe, the staff, the FOOD. How cool and unique is this place? A HORROR/HALLOWEEN themed bar/restaurant? YES PLEASE!
Fully vegan menu. Tons of comfort vegan food choices.
We got the vegan smash burger & cheesesteak – both amazing. The vegan smash burger was massive- loaded with cheese & sauce & just magic. We also got some of the appetizers- vegan Mac bites were to die for. The waiter was super friendly. Food came out pretty quick – hot and fresh. Fried Oreos & ice cream for dessert- yes please!
We loved the entire vibe. The uplighting inside added to the charm. We really enjoyed chilling inside with all the cool spooky decor, eating delicious food with horror movies playing on the wall.
Literally such a unique place! Alllll the Halloween & quirk vibes serving up amazing vegan food! Make a reservation & dine in one of the cities most unique spots!

Cool concept and atmosphere. The staff were helpful, and friendly. You can tell that they actually like what they do. My food came out fast, and it was delicious. I would go back for sure.

I had been hearing good things about this place and finally got around to going. I’m vegan, my friend isn’t but was willing to try it with me. It’s a really cute theme restaurant with drinks to match. I had the Blobarita and my friend had the Manhattan. Both drinks came out festive, the Blobarita in a monster glass and the manhattan had smoke coming from it.
For appetizers we had the fried eggplant caprese and the carne asada tacos. They were both tasty. I really enjoyed the ricotta in the eggplant caprese. For entrees I had the clams and linguine (with gluten free pasta) and my friend had the spicy bolognese. The portion sizes were large and both of us got to go containers. The clams and linguine were ok the first night, but when I ate the leftovers the next night it was delicious as all the flavors had come together. My friend liked his dish. I tried the italian sausage and sauce and they were good. I gave the food 4 stars since the pasta was just ok the first night.
They charge an automatic 20% gratuity, but it’s in big bold red letters on the bottom of the menu so there is no surprise. The service, food and atmosphere were great so we had no issues. We will definitely be back.

We wanted to try all the items on the menu..it was so comforting to find a vegan place that is so delightful to be at. Great ambiance and amazing options, that not just look appetizing but also tasted delicious..will surely visit again..highly recommend the place.

Great food, great service, and great environment! I’m a sucker for anything horror themed. Absolutely love the horror movie trailers projected on the walls. My friend and I came for dinner tonight and the gluten free pasta here really blew me away- I was pleasantly surprised. The spicy bolognese was delicious. The hoagietini was absolutely mouth-watering and I highly recommend to anyone who loves a savory, adventurous drink. The only thing they’re missing is a gluten free bread option. Will definitely be back! Thank you to our server Sean for some great recommendations and service!
