As someone who grew up eating Thai food, I had high hopes for this place. They represent Thailand very well and even the servers and cooks are Thai! This place ended up being a disappointment. Ordered Pad Thai and Thom Yum.

– Pad Thai noodles were too rough and didn’t hit the correct texture for me. The taste was alright. Looks amazing but tastes very mid. Nothing special and hit the bare minimum I guess.

– Thom Yum on the other hand was the biggest disappointment. Expected a spicy sour taste and got a very sugary taste. Only a little sour after using the lime from the pad thai. It had broccoli and cabbage in the soup? Also the mushrooms were not cooked all the way so that was also a weird texture. Not very authentic thom yum, I assume it was more of their own twist on it. But the taste was awful. Thom yum doesn’t need to have sugar and shouldn’t taste sweet.

– For the service , we were left alone most of the time and had to call the waitress over when needed. This was more of an authentic experience (like how restaurants function in Thailand) but it was hard to get our servers attention. She seemed busy doing togo orders which is fine. Just don’t forget to check on your table after a while!

Really sad that the food was a disappointment. I will say maybe they have other foods that are better? Disappointing since pad thai and thom yum are THE Thai food staples.

Every time we visit Madison, we try to make a point to visit this place. The food is absolutely delicious, the prices reasonable, and staff are so friendly. If you like Thai food, this is a must stop. We had the lunch specials today and were very pleased.

This is a fantastic Thai restaurant on the east side of Madison. Their dishes are delectable, diverse and deliscious. Some of the best service I’ve encountered in quite a while, too. Food was prepared and presented quite well. Appetizers are good, too. If you are hankering for some solid Thai food, this is a place that should be on your list. The Pad Thai is a fave, here.

I recently dined at Monsoon Siam and found the experience to be a mix of highs and lows. The food presentation was impressive, with dishes beautifully arranged and visually appealing. However, the taste left something to be desired. The flavors were a bit too salty and overall quite plain. Despite this, the ambiance and service were pleasant, making it a decent spot for a casual meal.

Some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had! Service was wonderful. We tried the duck, the chicken coconut curry, short rib yellow curry and (not pictured) the pad Thai with soft shell crab. All of them were amazing. Highly recommend the duck, however. Simply fantastic.

Surprised to find outstanding Thai food in Madison WI. Had the red squash (kabocha) curry. The curry had complex flavor that complimented the perfectly cooked kabocha, peppers and beef. So, SO delicious! …and kudos for the presentation. My daughters’ drunken noodles came in rice paper bowls. My wife’s pad Thai came in an omelette blossom. Points for creativity!

Great food, fast! Inside was very busy, little loud, but outside was quaint. First time visiting, lunch came out quick and was very flavorful. Peanut sauce with the summer rolls was super yummy.

Delicious food! I got a curry and requested “medium” spicy and it wasn’t toooo hot, but it was definitely enough to make my nose run, and I think of myself as someone with decent spice tolerance.

They are always BUSY! Their food is great and I’m happy for them that the business is thriving. On the other side of that same coin it is often extremely loud in the restaurant and actually somewhat tough to have conversations with the volume level.

The level of business does also make service a little slow at times. None of this actually deters me from going back every few months. But I do think these are worth noting for folks. It might also be good to make a reservation if you’re a group more than 2 or 4 people.

I’ve been hearing so many good things about this place. Was so excited to try. I don’t know if it was because I ordered 1 hour before close but I paid over $25 for the rice and it was soooo disappointing, extremely salty, not edible. Wish I could get my money back 🙁 don’t think I’ll be back.
