Yesterday we had a great brunch/lunch at Monroe’s Restaurant on 4th st. The staff were very friendly and attentive even though they had plenty of patrons there. The restaurant is very airy and open, also clean. Our waiter took our order right away and we received our meals quickly. It was nice not having to wait for a while. Our plates were fresh and super tasty. My only feedback would be to have a lil bit more heat to the green chile. But other than that it was very good, and we will be back again soon! Also plenty of parking spaces available.

Some really great authentic New Mexican food with a contemporary menu that caters to the carb conscious or those who are vegan or veggie centric.
We came in a group of 8, but were seated quickly and were given a very friendly server that quickly gathered the order.
Everything came out so fresh, sizzling, and full of flavor. This red Chile is some of the best among the hometown faves, and the sopapillas were fluffy and served with some sweet oozy honey.
My low carb hamburger steak was smothered in sautéed onions and green chile and plated next to some heavily seasoned calabacitas that paired nicely with my IPA bottled beer, that came with its own frosted glass!
The prices were right where it needed to be to enjoy the authentic New Mexico flavors served on these scorching plates.
Everyone enjoyed everything and we will definitely need to come back and try their breakfast.

Big, fluffy sopaipillas! I ordered the Indian taco (on fry bread). The food was pretty standard—nothing special, but nothing bad either. It seems to be nostalgic for most people and offers a lot of options for everyone.

Delicious New Mexican Food. Great service – generous portions. We stayed for about two hours eating and talking. It was a great find and easily the best food we had in our visit to NM from Texas.

Went in last night at 7:50pm not realizing they were about to close at 8. The manager was super nice and said we could sit down and dine in and I kindly declined as I know how it is to be ready to go home. So we got our food to go. And it was super fast and fresh. Thank you for being so nice. And still taking care of us. Definitely my favorite local spot. 5 stars all day.

First time visit. Wonderful experience. Great service from the staff as the have an “open wait” format, meaning any server or employee can and will help you. Flawless attention to detail. Food is excellent, portions are huge, atmosphere is classy, food was out so quickly. Started with the fresh made from scratch guacamole. Killer stuff. For the main course, I had the seafood enchiladas, wife had the cheese enchiladas. Complimentary sopapillas (sic) were fantastic. Prices are so reasonable. Raspberry sweet tea is great. Will definitely darken the doorway again in the future. Can’t go wrong here.

My husband and his uncle came
here for lunch. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my husband ordered a breakfast plate.
atmosphere: cozy, comfortable, and clean. Most tables are good for 4 people but if you have a large group, there is ample space and they can just put tables together to fit large groups. The place is clean and has large windows that add to the good vibe of the place.

Food: served within 20 minutes of ordering. I like my chicken fried steak with its sopapilia. My husband cleaned his plate. We are both satisfied with our food. Although my dish can be made more flavorful.

Between both Monroe’s location, I’m here several times a month. I’ve made my way through the entire menu. My jam currently is the vegetarian tostadas, add red chile.
Love the pozole, love the tortilla burger with red and green, and some of my favorite carne adovada, especially on an indian taco.

We were driving through Albuquerque and stopped here for lunch. The service was good but our server left half way through our meal and it was a little chaotic after that to get our check and boxes. I got the taco salad with chicken and it had little to no flavor and was very watery. I didn’t like that they made the guacamole spicy.
The other people in my group liked their meals. They got the chicken fajitas and the super combination plate. We also got their sopaipillas and those were good.
