Monkeypod Kitchen is just a short walk from Aulani Resort. We made dinner reservations for our large party, and our table was ready once we checked in. We sat inside, but the patio area looked inviting as well.

Overall, most of the food was good, and the drinks were great. The atmosphere and vibe were chill and pleasant with live music. The weather was also perfect for the evening.

We started with some drinks; the Monkeypod Mai Tai was a big hit, and I enjoyed the Virgin Mai Tai. There were some interesting house cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and a big wine list.

We ordered some appetizers to share, and I enjoyed the Wings, Taro Ravioli, and Kalua Pork Pizza. My main entree was Pete’s Fish & Chips. It was ok. The tempura-style fish had a nice crunch, but the coating was very salty. The hand-cut fries were tasty, though. Some of my family felt the saimin and fish sandwich was delicious as well.

Our server and the staff were excellent, attentive, and kind. They checked on us regularly. The prices are on the premium side, but given the location across from the resorts and the quality and portions, it was fair. I’d be back to enjoy the cocktails and try other items on the menu.

Wonderful restaurant, the atmosphere, cocktails, food and service was excellent. The macadamia fish was very good as well as the regular Old Fashioned cocktail. It was very enjoyable and the live music was just getting ready to start when we were leaving. We had a few people at our resort recommend The Monkeypod Kitchen. Not sure where they came up with the name. Cool place.

Meh… I think I paid for the atmosphere and the fancy named food items – definitely not the food itself

Had the Fresh Island Fish Sandwich $28. Overall, small sized sandwich. Fish filet was around same size as a Filet O Fish, maybe smaller. Saucey slaw on the bun, pickles on top. Tartar sauce on the side. Very saucey tasting sandwich. Server suggested House Cut (greasy) Fries $12. He forgot to say “…else that tiny sandwich will look lonely”

What a beautiful location. Waterfalls inside and out. Two different levels with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly wait staff. Drinks were delivered fresh and cold. Food came out hot and seasoned well. I enjoyed the chicken wings. My wife enjoyed the Ahi Tuna tacos. We also enjoyed the Ahi Tuna meal. Cooked perfectly! Then we hiked across the street to watch a beautiful sunset.

My daughter and I had lunch here. I had the mushroom truffle oil pizza and she had the fish & chips. Both were excellent, as was the pie (coconut cream, strawberry cream). Relaxed outdoor dining, upbeat music…

We ate at some fantastic restaurants during our trip to Hawaii. The food here was arguably the best. I wish I could remember our servers name as she was one of the best I have seen anywhere. Lobster deviled eggs were delicious. I tried the gnocchi and the waitress suggested adding chicken. Monkeypod has tasty twist on a pretty common pasta would highly recommend trying this.

Monkeypod Kitchen in Ko Olina is one of the most vibrant spots in the area, offering a lively atmosphere that perfectly matches its surroundings.

The space is energetic, often featuring live music that gives the restaurant a warm, upbeat feel. It sits within a great shopping district, which adds to the experience, though parking in the area can be a bit challenging during busy times.

The menu leans on well-crafted appetizers and an impressive lineup of beers on tap. Their selection is one of the highlights—Overboard IPA is a standout and well worth trying. The pizzas are reliably good, and the taro ravioli is truly exceptional, one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression.

A strong choice in Ko Olina for anyone looking for good food, great drinks, and an atmosphere that feels both fun and distinctly local.

The dining experience was great, we were seated by the kitchen and could see all the food getting cooked, food was made nice but the best part was the live performer who sung and rocked the guitar. Had a great feel and overall a great experience

Came for Happy hour in early September, food was amazing. Had the pizza, wings, and tortilla soup. Please note before coming here this restaurant does NOT carry ranch. If you enjoy it with your pizza wings, you may want to look else where. Also, it may have been the time we came but the bugs were all over us despite the restaurant putting out these bug deterrents on each table. Other than that I think you may be better off picking up your food to go.
