The service here is nice and food is served in a reasonable amount of time. There’s about a dozen or so tables here. The atmosphere can be a bit loud if you’re looking for a much more quieter dining experience. The food here is okay. I had the Honey Walnut Prawns, Ginger and Green Onion Crab Fried Rice, and Chicken Laab. The portions are generous, but lacks the more traditional South Eastern Asian taste, which can be a bit pungent. Not everyone likes that, I know. The rice didn’t have much crab in it at all and the Laab has apples in it, which was something I didn’t expect.

The food I ordered was, chicken chew main and pepper lemon chicken wing, they both were very salty and I mean I tasted one noodle because of how it looks it was soaked in sauce. I brought it to there attention, and the server had the nerve to say they can’t make remake the 2 orders because I didn’t let them know, but I had just did and never got my lemonade drink as well. I noticed they never charged me so it ok. Some other dishes of food was bad and some was good. I won’t be returning there. I took my salty noodles home and raised off over half you can see the difference. You’ve been worned.

Ima keep it a buck, all that tiktok hype is not it. At the beginning the waiter was cool and recommended food but after ordering food, that was the last time we saw him, not him not no one check on how we were, never asked how was the food, nothing at all, besides getting the food to the table, there was no service at all, we even had to get up and ask for boxes. The food is a good portion. Now with the food, the chicken fried rice, the rice was bland, the chicken was not fresh, it tastes like it was reheated or a day old chicken, same with the meat on the broccoli beef and the Mongolian chow mein, they didn’t not taste fresh, the Mongolian chow mein was too salty, the walnut shrimps do not look like what you see on the menu, the only good dish we got was the salt and pepper wings with fries, that I’ll give a 5 star but besides that it’s a 4/10, maybe not my cup tea

Noodles were hot and the shrimp was cold. The bartender was new and the cocktail was not good. Not sure if this location is under new ownership but the food has gone downhill since I used to live out in Alameda.

Service was horrible. We waited 2 hours for our complete meal. The server told us they run out of food and had to run to the store. Used to go there before COVID and loved it. Super sad their quality went down like this.

The food is AMAZING here! I went for the first time the other day and ended up going right back 2 days later I tried both the chicken and the shrimp fried rice, the beef and broccoli, garlic noodles, the salt and pepper wings w/ fries (wasn’t cooked all the way so I ended up bringing them home and putting them in the air fryer), black pepper beef and their spicy crab fries. I have a video/ picture of most of these items just not the shrimp fried rice or the black pepper beef. Their alcoholic drinks aren’t the best but it gets the job done I like going with around 4 people and having each person order like 1 or 2 things and do it buffet style.

This place has generated a lot of buzz in the last few years. So I decided to give it a try.
First off I was not a fan whatsoever of this new order off the phone with no waiter. But the app instantly ask for a tip before any food is ever served. The new culture of tipping has definitely gotta out of control.
I ordered the fried chicken, lemon pepper favor, garlic noddles and beef fired rice. All the food is served family side by the way.
The chicken was extremely good. Fried to a crisp. The rice was a lil wet but still very good.
But the big garlic noddles were horrible. No where on the menu did it mention that there were going to have peanuts.
It had no lick of garlic favor. But still besides that I still give the over experience a 4/5.
I will return and get the honey walnuts shrimp the next time.

A very busy place. The food was delicious! I really loved the wings! They were seasoned perfectly. I didn’t like how you had to go and order your food and drinks at two different areas and then they brought your food to you.

I have been eating at Monkey King for years now, and I have always liked their food. Tonight was my first time eating back inside the restaurants since the covid pandemic. The restaurants is still set up the same, but the service has changed. You have to scan the code to see the whole menu at your table, or you can go up to the counter to order the food and pay. They provide paper menus at the counter, they will bring you water or the drinks you order but nomore waiter service. I went to Monkey King for dinner to celebrate the new year. I order different plates, and I got Mongolian Beef chow mien. Salt n pepper chicken wings, crab fried rice, orange chicken, pot stickers, egg rolls . They food was very fresh and tasted really good. I got there an hour after they opened and it was too packed at all which was great so our food came out quickly it wasn’t a long wait . The parking is still the same wherever you can find one lol. I will definitely keep eat at the Monkey King & the Pub brew down the way. im still eating at Monkey King
