We ordered the roasted ducks, roasted pork belly, beef chow fun, and chicken hot pot with veggies. I love the roasted ducks. The skin was crispy and meat very tender. The roasted pork belly was a little too dry and not much flavor. The beef chow fun was delicious though.

Such a gem! Food came out so quick. We shared 5 dishes among 4 people and every plate was a banger. The roasted duck is the star of the show—that crunch is real.
Also, can we talk about the Thai tea? It comes with the cutest bear-shaped ice on top, which is totally a vibe and perfect for the ‘gram. It’s super creamy and well-balanced (not a sugar bomb!). Coming from a Thai person, it lacks that extra punch of ‘authentic’ tea boldness, but it’s still incredibly refreshing and worth ordering for the cuteness alone!

Large menu, a lot of choices. I got the Hawaii Chicken, Rice Noodles and Egg Drop soup. The portions are huge and the food is fantastic!!

I am glad I went there. Great service, but better food. Each portion can feed a minimum of 2 people. Great variety of choices. Very quaint and relaxed atmosphere. I will gladly be going again.

I am so disappointed with this meal. I ordered the 2 meat bbq combo of duck and pork. Which was flavorful. That’s the only plus. My portion of duck was all rib bones and the wings have almost zero meat on them. I am glad I’m not local. I would never come back. Pic posted is the box of bones left over. For 30 dollars in this economy I expect much more than a box of bones.

My mother and I went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving. We ordered roast duck, but they didn’t have it. We also ordered crispy pork belly, but it would take two hours to arrive. We ordered crispy pork intestines, but they didn’t have those either. None of our favorite dishes were available. I also made a mistake—I ordered Sichuan Mapo Tofu at a Cantonese restaurant! It wasn’t spicy or numbing, just salty. I used to like this restaurant because their Chinese food was relatively authentic, but now it’s becoming more and more like Americanized Chinese food.

This place is amazing! Their duck and noodles are our favorite. They give really good portions too. This one is a really tough competitor to the Cantonese restaurant in Raytown. Our new go to place for Chinese even though we live over an hour away. We’re just fortunate that they have Costco and Sam’s Club right there so we make it a day trip. Bring a jacket though if you get cold easily.

We had an amazing Chinese New Year feast at Monkey King BBQ & Noodle in Overland Park. This Cantonese restaurant specializes in Chinese BBQ and traditional Cantonese cuisine, and we ordered twenty dishes to share family-style.
The BBQ platter was outstanding. The crispy pork belly had a perfect crunch, with tender, flavorful meat underneath. The roasted duck had crispy skin with juicy, succulent meat, and the char siu had just the right balance of sweetness and smokiness.
Their claypot dishes were some of the best we’ve had. The braised eggplant with salted fish and minced chicken was packed with deep umami flavors. The braised pork knuckles in fermented bean curd sauce were incredibly tender and rich. The braised pork belly with taro was a standout—the taro soaked up all the flavors, giving it a smooth and creamy texture.
Since a whole fish wasn’t available, we opted for the fish fillet in black bean sauce, which was a great substitute. The poached chicken with ginger scallion sauce was simple but delicious. We also enjoyed egg rolls, spicy beef tendon, homemade pork potstickers, mapo tofu, beef chow fun, stir-fried udon with shacha sauce, Yang Chow fried rice, and stir-fried gailan.
Despite the restaurant being very busy, the staff did their best to accommodate everyone. Prices were reasonable, portions were generous, and everything was delicious. If you’re looking for authentic Cantonese food, Monkey King BBQ & Noodle is a must-visit.

Menu is huge, with many different Asian cuisines, I came specifically for Chinese but they had Singaporean noodles! So I got that. The noodles were cooked perfectly as was the shrimp. The pork was dry and chewy. Overall I enjoyed the meal and will return. The next time I will get shrimp only. The Thai tea, was not true Thai tea. Both the Crab Rangoon and hot & sour soup were excellent. They are unique in offering a small portion as an option.

It was our first experience here and we really enjoyed it. I had the Shrimp fried rice with egg drop soup (best that I have had in KC Metro) and an eggroll. We ordered the small side of crab Rangoon as well and my Wife had the Shrimp with vegetables. Wonderful Waiter and the food was excellent.
