We are Old Saybrooks local hangout with great food. We have a relaxed barroom atmosphere where your sure to find a conversation or imformation about our historic town. Our wrap around porch is also great for families. Summertime we have an outdoor patio and tented dining.

My brother loves the food at this restaurant, so when it was time for us to celebrate his birthday, we called the Farm and were able to set up and reserve a table for 20 people on a Friday night. Our waitress, Rebecca, was an amazing server. She was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and one of the best servers I have seen in years. She was pleasant and knew exactly what she was doing, and she the reason our surprise party was a success. Her service was flawless and she was incredibly pleasant and always smiling. The Monkey Farm was so accommodating in getting us a huge table on an extremely busy night, (and the place was packed), but you would not know that that was the case because the service was just phenomenal. The food, from the appetizers to the main course was phenomenal. Some people had appetizers, some people had sandwiches, and some people big dinners. The meals all arrived with perfect timing and they were absolutely delicious. Thank you to Rebecca and the Monkey Farm for making my brother’s birthday party such a fantastic experience for all of us. If you asked me to come up with one thing that I could complain about or change about our experience, , I wouldn’t be able to find anything. Highly recommend! Thank you!

The menu will meet everyone’s preferences offering a variety of options from appetizers to entrees, milk to booze and many homemade desserts options. Indoors offers bar seating, games, dining tables and TVs, also covered porch seating and additional patio space outside to enjoy the beautiful Connecticut days. We ordered the fish sandwich (cod) platter with french fries and the half sandwich combo choosing the roast beef with mayo & tomato and bowl of chili with onions and cheese. Very delicious and hearty.

Loved our Friday dinner here. The bar area was very busy, we sat outside of the bar area. It’s a moderate size restaurant. Food is very good. Staffs are friendly. We had Potato skins, Chili soup, Roast beef melt sandwich, Hot Italian Combo Grinder, Fresh Grilled Salmon with potato & Broccoli. All items were delicious. The sandwich & grinders were very good, It’s pure food not too much added condiments. They accept cash only. There is an ATM inside. Food price is reasonable & big portions. Additional Parking is available at the back of the restaurant. I recommend this restaurant.

Great experience! Food here is very good. The place is cozy… you can sit inside, by the bar or in enclosed porches. Service is also good. Parking is reasonable amount of spaces.
Surprised on how delicious the seafood entrees were.
For starters we had the onion soup crock and the cream of broccoli soup. Both very good.
I got the baked shrimp which were stuff with delicious crab meat. Yum. My boyfriend had the cod fish which was also stuffed with crab meat.
Also splurged on dessert, banana cream pie. Also very yummy.

Love this place and love playing pool here. Food and staff are always amazing. However, keep in mind it is small inside and it’s locals favorite so it does get crowded especially at night.

We had a late lunch and a drink on Saturday afternoon. Great atmosphere!!! It’s a good casual place for a bite to eat and/or a drink with friends or family. The waitress was friendly and attentive. There’s a good selection of food and there’s a full bar. It’s really easy to get to as it’s close to I-95 and the Post Road.

Do not let the cash only policy scare you away! The parking lot is easy to manage. We were greeted by a giant monkey in the arcade. You get to chose where to sit. There are some high top tables as well as regular settings. There was also sitting outside. Our waitress was Jade. She was nice. The food was fantastic! The wings are wonderful and crispy and a good size. We ordered a hamburger, Italian grinder and a Philly cheesesteak. They all tasted great. For dessert we shared a chocolate pie. I would really describe it as a cake with creme cheese (maybe) filling. We will definitely return.
