Had a great time here! The interior has a playful, kitschy vibe that made it feel like dining in a gay bar. The cocktail menu is extensive, and both the Indonesian-style rice and veggie curry were delicious. Our waiter, Andrew, was fantastic—super friendly and fun to chat with. We even joked about bringing him to the beach with us afterward, and, if he hadn’t been the only one working that day, I’m not sure that he wouldn’t have joined!

The general tso’s was crispy, but it had little flavor other than “sweet”. The pad Thai was extremely egg heavy, the pad see ew was supposed to come with thick rice noodles and vegetables, but there were only a few broccoli spears amidst the plate of salty yet cloyingly sweet fettuccini. The Thai basil with chicken was ok but very salty. Interesting take to blend the basil into the sauce rather than add it straight to the dish. Our soup appetizers were ok. We kept hearing the characteristic “beep beep beep” of a microwave and we joked they were heating our soup up, then moments later the bowls of warm (not hot) soup came out. Even if they were microwaved they were tasty.
The martinis were boosted to be the biggest around, but when they arrived they were normal sized. The flavors were unique and fun, but the only thing that was large about them was the price. Definitely have sticker shock and honestly buyer’s remorse. Also…$6 for a glass of diet Pepsi? Still a little stunned by that. The service was good, no complaints there. I don’t remember the price of a side of rice but the small ½cup of rice that came was paltry.

Monkey Bar Johnny Thai is an absolute gem in PTown. The food here is simply delicious, with sushi that is incredibly fresh and flavorful. We came to the monkey bar because my wife was craving tom yum soup at 11 pm and we are so glad we came. The atmosphere of the monkey bar is excellent for a get together with friends. There are easy chairs to just relax and sip on some great cocktails. We had the Blue Hawaiian and Boston Tea Party which were delicious tropical tasting cocktails like all the wide ranging cocktails including some great desert inspired cocktails too. You will not regret spending an evening in Provincetown at this hidden gem!

We had a very good dinner here this weekend. We unknowingly showed up just as tea dance was ending, so we were able to get a table right away and it started out quiet. It became packed and loud very quickly. Not a problem, just something to be aware of if you’re looking for a quiet dinner. The food exceeded our expectations. The pot stickers, boneless ribs, sesame chicken and Judy Garland roll were all great. Prices are high, even for Ptown.

Had dinner with friends here last night. The food was great! Beef skewers and boneless ribs were amazing! I left my camera behind and luckily the guy was there early as I had a ferry to catch and he let me in to grab it!! Such nice people, great food, will definitely be back next time we’re in ptown.

I love this place, the staff is nice and the food is very flavorful. However I ordered boneless ribs for a snack and the flavor was great, but for $18 almost all the pieces were fatty (hardly any meat) and while it is an appetizer, for the portion you get (not that many pieces) and the price you pay it should come with rice. I’ll continue to come here for cocktails but the price gouging on the food is a perfect example of what’s causing me to come to PTown less and less in recent years.

My husband and I ordered Chinese fried rice with chicken and Thai fried rice with shrimp. Additionally, we each had one martini. Our total was $148. The food was just “okay.” There are many fantastic restaurants we visited in the area with great food and service which we paid nearly half that to enjoy. DO NOT EAT HERE.
