So my review is based on other things because of the situation and I meant to write it sooner. We broke down driving in front of this resteraunt while traveling for work. The staff was so sweet to us. They helped us contact people in the area to get our truck going, provided us with a warm space, food and a drink. The hospitality was great. If im ever in the area again, I will be back!

Our family of 10 came in and the staff seemingly didn’t want to sit any of us. We asked if we could get a table in one area and they said no. We asked if we could sit in another and they said no. There was only one other person in the building eating at the time. They obviously didn’t want our business so we got up and left to eat at the one in Monticello

We were surprised at how delicious the pizza tasted. We were not expecting to like it at all. The thin crust was great. Sauce was quite tasty. Bread sticks were also good and we liked to choice of cheese sauce or marinara. We also ordered baked wings which is preferred over fried for us. The salad was fresh and dressings were good as well. We don’t live in the area, but if we ever travel through central Illinois again, we would definitely stop for a pizza.

Like many peoole who live in the area, this location has so much nostalgia wrapped up in it for me. Even though it has been a roller coaster of quality through the decades, the original, thin, cracker-like crust never fails…when it’s fresh. Eat the thin crust at the restaurant and take home the thick crust for later. Don’t even try to calculate the actual price of a family pleaser. It will make your head hurt. I used to like the bread sticks and the garlic cheese bread but like many things these days, they are not as good as they used to be. I miss the decorations that the previous owner displayed, but the old-timey Tolono photos are a nice touch.
