Hard to resist coming here whenever I’m in the area. It’s a very relaxed environment to dine in and eat good food. The staff is attentive and refills water proactively, I don’t think my cup was ever empty. Had sake (great happy hour deal), the vermicelli bowl, and the sesame balls. The sesame balls come out hot and ready. Pro tip: let them cool down a bit for a comfortable temperature.

The brisket pho was phenomenal. I love the thin slices of brisket paired with the dried garlic (I think). I’ve had a lot of pho and viet food and this was delicious. The servers were very nice and the food came out fast. I also love the flavorful drinks they have available!

This bowl came out loaded and unapologetic. Deep, savory broth. Tender cuts of meat with real char and flavor. Fresh herbs and bean sprouts that actually tasted fresh. The heat was balanced, not reckless, and the toppings tied everything together instead of fighting for attention.

Nothing felt rushed or lazy. Every bite had intention. This is the kind of place where you stop talking halfway through the meal because the food is handling the conversation.

If you want Vietnamese done right, not watered down or overthought, Money Cat is it. Show up hungry and trust the bowl.

Went here to grab dinner, the food was great! Lots of vegetarian options: I had the sesame tofu salad and the tofu banh mi. Both were delicious, though the bread on the banh mi wasn’t as light and airy as I’d prefer (I’m picky, it was still good). My only gripe is that it’s a QR-code based restaurant and I ranked the service 3 because of this; not a knock to the server themselves who was very friendly. It’s not a service-forward establishment so don’t go in with that expectation. However, the food came quickly and you don’t have to wait for the check as you pay online at the same time you order. You will likely need at least one friend with a smartphone to access the menu and process payment.

The foods good but the QR code order on your phone system is horrible. My wife’s meal came out 20 minutes before mine and we were eating separately. Why even have a tip option on there? So I can tip the iPhone menu “checkout” button? Really bad experience.

As an avid Pho eater… I must say I was so disappointed in their vegan pho. I get veggie Pho from several places and usually I’m met with a lot of vegetables, herbs, and flavor.. unfortunately the Pho here was very bland, the bowl / proportions are small, and the taste (or lack there of) was not memorable. I highly suggest that they add mushrooms, carrots, onions, cabbage, spice, etc to enhance the Pho flavor/ experience.. The place is visually nice however… but if you want good, flavorful Pho, this place isn’t for you, especially if you enjoy veggie phos. Wasn’t worth the price.

I came here when I was visiting a friend in Brooklyn. I got the spring rolls which were fantastic, very unique and fresh! I also enjoyed my drinks, I got an iced coffee and tried one of their specialty beverages. Pho was good, I really liked the broth. They give you cinnamon rice noodles to start, which were tasty. It was a good meal and the prices were decent, I like the paperless menu. Good visit. I enjoyed and would return.

The food is ok. Not more not less. Service is lacking- the qr code menu thing is incredibly annoying, and i would think the servers would be annoyed by getting their tip before the meal is over? Why would i want to pay the bill in full including tip before the food is out? That way outstanding service isnt going to be rewarded as it should. It is pretty inside however

This is the worst Vietnamese restaurant I have been to in NYC and I love Vietnamese food. I cannot fathom how the flavors can be so difficult to swallow and I am not a picky eater at all. It’s a shame cause I live around the corner and would love to dine here regularly.

Please find a new chef and replace the QR code system. It makes dining robotic and not organic.

The Coconut Curry Pho was just the right amount of heat and good flavor. I like that I could customize what went into it. The order from a QR code makes it efficient as well as the plates and spoons being right in the table. The Chia limeade was amazing also.
