Me and my family have been coming here for years now, it’s our favourite pizza place. The food every time is so flawless and comes out with such a beautiful presentation. The service is so lovely, everyone’s always so polite and thinking about their customers. On my most recent stop they gave my brother a bib for his calebreze, he had a white t-shirt. We didn’t even think of that! Lastly, the atmosphere feels so homey, from the pictures to the smell of sourdough and tomato sauce, it’s amazing. I recommend this to everyone as their menu has a range of foods that suits people of all preferences. Definitely coming here for the next years to come as well.

As a native Italian and teacher of Italian, AND a vegan, I am very fussy in terms of my pizza purveyors. Monellis lives up to the hype. Wonderful sourdough pizzas with plenty of options for meat eaters and vegans alike. They also do smaller sandwiches if for some (inconceivable) reason you don’t want pizza. Really tasty vegan mozzarella by the way! And the staff! They’re all Italian speakers and they will absolutely celebrate you speaking in Italian with them. All the tables around us were Italian folks too – truly the mark of an approved Italian pizzeria. Can’t wait to come back!

Genuinely the best pizza we’ve had in the UK!! We were blown away by not only the fabulous pizza, but by the owner Frankie & his friendly banter & service. He was so friendly & funny & very proud of his sourdough pizza dough. Rightly so!!! The flavour & the texture were perfection!! I highly recommend the Calabrese pizza & the Carnazza pizza, with extra chilli. My mouth is watering!! We would come back to the UK, all the way from Australia, just so we could dine there again!! Thank you Frankie for a dining experience we will never forget. Remember, Australia (Newcastle) is always an option for a new restaurant, just make it close to our house

We had such a lovely evening here! The pizzas were absolutely delicious – fresh, full of flavour and perfectly baked. You can really tell they care about the quality.
Interestingly, we were the only customers at the time, which made the atmosphere feel very calm and private. It almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.
The portions were so generous that we were completely full and had to take dessert away with us!
Great food, relaxed atmosphere and a genuinely enjoyable experience. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I live in London and happened to be visiting Hastings, so I decided to try Monellis and it turned out to be such a lovely surprise. The sourdough pizza is absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly made with high-quality Italian ingredients.
It’s a great family place with a really welcoming atmosphere. The service was amazing, friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, which makes such a difference. You can really feel the passion behind what they do.

Fantastic food, fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection the rocket salad was so tasty and the pizza had the perfect balance of ingredients. We really enjoyed our meal, enhanced by the friendliness of the staff, the cosy, relaxed atmosphere and the faultless service.

Came in this afternoon and can honestly say it was the best pizza I’ve had, not just in Hastings but EVER! The staff were the most friendly and welcoming people, our waitress was funny and incredibly helpful with our food and she gave us some interesting info on how the dough is made. Props to the chef because the food was absolutely divine. Obviously grab a pizza but I highly recommend the breadsticks and flavoured oils starter too. 10/10 will 100% be going back!

The best sourdough pizza I’ve ever had in the UK! We came on a Sunday afternoon after the lunch peak hour and were able to get a seat indoors. I can’t praise the Rosso pizza enough, which is traditionally made without cheese.
The pizza is topped with a perfectly harmonised blend of anchovies, red onions and capers, a recipe created by the chef-owner himself. It was extremely tantalising and you could taste the superior quality of the ingredients.
The sourdough crust was chewy and fragrant, however the highlight was the base of the most delicious and juicy Rosso tomatoes which are specially imported by the restaurant directly from Puglia!
Thank you for the warm and attentive service and delicious meal! A must-go in Hastings!
