Really good food, especially the burgers. Highly recommend. We (family) were driving from Anchorage to Fairbanks and decided to give this place a try. Even allowed us to do half order fries half salad. Homemade dressings (minus ranch), homemade tartar sauce, fast service and personal. If you are driving down the Parks highway and hungry, dont miss this place

Just as the many reviews before mine, their burgers are delicious and worth the wait. Fries are great, too. Had we known how large the burgers were, we would have shared one. They have the can sodas for $2. Their cook is a marvelous, one-woman show. She owns the place! This was a Sunday afternoon and they were quite busy. Not only was there one cook, there was one server. You might have to wait so take in your patience. If you get frustrated about waiting, then keep driving. Lol. We ended up with a 1.5 hr lunch break and we would do it again. There is no WIFI so plan on chatting with your spouse and/or family. We had the jalapeno jack burgers. With our tip, it was $45.

Awesome place!! Super comfy and chill with super solid burgers with a lot of onions. I recommend getting them with fries. Solid nachos too, and good fish and chips. Everything was fresh, loved this place, I can’t say enough.

We were visiting from out of state and had Halibut here for the first time. It was so delicious that we ordered it twice more at other restaurants on our vacation. Neither of the other, more expensive, places were as good as Monderosa! If we are every back to Alaska, Monderosa will be on our go-to list. Plus the flowers are stunning!

We were driving from Anchorage to Fairbanks with a stop over at Denali Park. By the time we left Denali it was getting late, with most businesses closing earlier in winter, we could not make it to Fairbanks in time for dinner. We stopped over at Monderosa in Nenana. We were the only clients at a time, it was 7:30 and they were closing at 8. There was a sign on the door stating 21+, and we traveled with kids, but this was only for the bar area. Rest of the restaurant is approved for kids. They even had a high chair for our 1 year old.

I like that they were open until 8pm on Sunday after driving from Denali National Park back to Fairbanks. Generous portion of fries. Could have opted for salad instead. They are know for their burgers and were out of several other dishes like halibut and chicken. A little dry but tasty burger. Had enough for a nice snack later.
