Quaint little restaurant that makes you feel like you’re at family’s house for dinner. Excellent food and great service.
Prefer this place to the other Thai place up the street but both are great.
Best to make a reservation as the place is small and popular.
Lots of vegetarian options

We were pleased that we booked Mona’s for the first night of our holiday. The place is quite small and cosy, so I’d say booking is advisable. Unfortunately they turned away some people because they were full … a good sign for those of us lucky to have a table (in that it appears to be very popular). The staff were very friendly and got a beer to my table quickly while I waited for the others in my party to arrive. I recommend a large Singha to get the party started. There were 4 of us. We had starters and main. I thought the vegetable tempura starter perhaps could have had the batter a tiny bit crisper and cooked a little longer. Overall, my brother’s verdict was “delicious” and I agreed. I had a red curry for my main. They gave me a choice of mild or spicy, and I chose spicy. What I enjoyed was that the sauce was full of flavour and the heat built over time. The sticky rice came in a little bamboo holder, which kept it nice and hot. This was a great idea meaning you could serve yourself the rice in small portions over the course of the meal, and each time it was a good temperature. All in all, an enjoyable dining experience. Thank you Mona and Co.

We had our hearts set on Thai while in Weymouth. This place was amazing service was good and the food excellent. We will definitely use again. The mini spring rolls, tempura prawns, vegetable green curry and the king prawns were all cooked to perfection. Keep up the good work thank you.

I was really looking fwd to trying this place and I’m sorry to say it was just very average. The staff were great & friendly, good service, but the food was lacking. If I use Thaise snackbar Amsterdam as a comparison, who’s Thai fish cakes & range of condiments are sublime, Mona’s fishcakes are lacking texture, range of flavour, structure, fresh herbs, that fresh fried hot crispiness yet rubbery feel when breaking, and almost seem like pre-packed bought ones. They were drab in every aspect & Thai fish cakes should be a classic. The Tom Yum soup was tasty & prawns good, but the stock was only luke warm & pretty dull in appearance (it didn’t seem fresh). The squid tempura was alright but not characteristic Thai & I could have eaten calamari far better at most places (Thai or not Thai). The king pawn spring rolls were delicious, crispy & hot, but sadly unlike the rest of the meal. I often rate new places by having a selection of starters & did not have a main meal. The attention to detail of the starters was below what I was anticipating. I had 4 starters & a drink for £35.

Was looking for a restaurant to dine alone in Weymouth and Mona’s didn’t dissapoint. I had a warm welcome and my order was quickly taken
The Chu Chee Pla was one of the best versions I’ve ever tasted, the Som Tum salad was spicy and fresh.
All of it was washed down with a lovely glass of white wine.
The whole experience was perfect. If I visit Weymouth again I’ll definitely be come back to Mona’s

From a small place like this you expect good quality food and this is exactly what you get, very late booking no trouble at all, friendly and very positive attitude on staff. Overall a great place to eat.

The food is beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. Authentic Thai food. Best chicken satay and spring rolls had in years. Highly recommend the mixed platter starter. We then had pork red curry and Chu chee sea bass. Both divine.

Had an impromptu visit to Mona’a this evening and was lucky enough to be accept in without a reservation. Service and atmosphere was impeccable, really friendly front of house and joyful locals who shared good tips around other local restaurants.
The food was incredible, completely unfaultable. Full of authenticity and fresh flavours – best food I’ve eaten in a long while.
