This place was amazing. It was one of the best experiences my wife and i have had eating, ever. We got the bread service, which was VERY good for $3. Then we split the 16oz wagyu ribeye and ordered mashed potatoes and creamed corn. Everything was spot on amazing. It’s probably the 2nd best dining experience I’ve ever had. 100% recommend.

Ultimately 5 star – would go back. My husband said it was the best burger he’s had in a long time! I got the poke bowl and the tuna was very odd – kind of a mushy mess and not cubes of tuna like I’m used to. Other than that the service was fantastic.

Really cool spot with a large patio. The menu could take you in all kinds of directions and was well executed, but overall we felt like most of it lacked that punch of flavor. There were definitely some tasty dishes and we went on a Wednesday night, given the price point this was likely just an off night.

How cow is this a nice joint with great food!! I had been hearing about it but trust me, you will not be disappointed!! Go immediately! I had the New York Strip and polished it off with the cheesecake…both were possibly the best I’ve ever had! Great for an upscale date night or to entertain work colleagues. A tad on the pricey side but well worth it!

We went at dinner time and both ordered steaks (New York strip, filet, and shared tuna tartar) after hearing some very positive reviews. The atmosphere was nice and didn’t have to wait much longer then 20 minutes for a table without a reservation. Both steaks were delicious and my fries on the side were alright, I would have liked something else to complement the quality of the steak a little better but that’s just my preference. The tuna tartar was good as well. We had a black walnut old fashion as our drink and were very pleased over all. It is fairly expensive but I would say the best quality steak restaurant we have tried in Iowa thus far.

First time at Monarch for a date night and it was great! Food was fantastic. I had the pasta dish and it was delicious. My husband had the burger and said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had (very tender and juicy). It is a bit pricier but the food was delicious so it’s worth it for a nice date night. I highly recommend!

We had been wanting to go here. I will say that I was not wowed. I had a seasonal dish and I feel they missed the mark. The wine selection was small and honestly not great. My husband very much enjoyed his NY Strip and truffle fries. For what we spent, there are other places we would rather go. It was worth trying once. The dining area is nicely decorated and the wait staff did a nice job.
