The food and service here were simply perfect!! We were checked on by multiple folks and the teamwork of the staff stood out to me – food is served hot, plates removed when appropriate, drinks freshened up and brought to table in no time! In the photos you’ll see the salmon which was heavenly, the walleye which was equally good, and lastly the sticky date pudding topped with vanilla bourbon butterscotch which was the best way to end our meal. I’m so excited to have a go-to place in the QC.

My husband and I have frequented the Monarch as one of our favorite date night spots in the Quad Cities. I am typically not one to write a review, but I feel I can no longer keep my thoughts about this restaurant private. My husband and I adhere to specific religious diet requirements where we avoid both pork and alcohol, as well as a personal preference to avoid gluten. The servers continue to go above and beyond, often mentioning that certain items have alcohol/pork before we even mention anything. They have fried food in separate fryers for us as well. The servers who have been around for a while are classy, respectful and above all else well versed in their delicious rotating menu. Tonight, however, we felt especially cared for by our server Jess. We had not met her before, but she recognized that we were fasting for religious purposes and was kind enough to bring the MOST delicious sticky date dessert to our table. “Ramadan Mubarak” (Happy Ramadan) was beautifully written on the plate. Consistent, attentive and meticulous. You have us wrapped around your finger!

I normally don’t leave reviews but the level of disappointment at our last visit is bothering me.

It feels like they are buying low quality ingredients but charging $$$$-especially for the QC. This is Chicago prices without the quality.

Their menu lists the burrata app as having “heirloom tomatoes” but what we received was just standard deli sliced tomatoes with zero taste.

The pasta dish had 6 noodles total, we counted.

The Caviar dish barely had caviar.

Our server Zach was amazing and accommodated us moving after being sat in the direct sun with no shade even though there were 12+ tables in the shade open. They lowered the shade about an hour later when the patio was starting to fill up but I feel staff could have anticipated this better. If it’s a blazing hot sunny day, just lower the shades ahead of time so guests are walking into a comfortable space and every table becomes a good table.
It felt like because we came early, 4pm, we were getting the snicklefritz.

Steak was ordered Med rare+ with a char. Absolute perfection. Impeccable service. Incredible dining experience. Also had the rock shrimp appetizer; so tasty I wanted to lick the plate(I resisted).

The brownie got devoured almost too quickly for me to get a picture.

Trendy decor and vibe. Lots of tables, but still recommend making a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised with the lobster roll. Lettuce wraps and Kimchi fries were pretty tasty apps. The paella was too heavy on the tomato sauce and didn’t have a lot of the seafood listed in the ingredients. Food came out really quick. Our server was excellent – super friendly and came by to check on us frequently.

Our first time at Monarch around 530 pm and didn’t disappoint. We sat inside because we were worried about bugs but the outside seating looked inviting. We were sat where we wanted after initially trying a booth.
The bread service with salted butter was very good. It did cost though. We split a broccoli and Gouda cheese soup which was delicious. My wife got the Salmon and the bolonese spaghetti with Serrano peppers was awesome.
The service was top notch never having to wait long. And they serve Boulevard Tank 7.

Absolutely love coming here for a first time experience, (my bday) Catie was exceptional! She was very helpful and gave her honest opinion on the menu! I ended up with a perfect steak and awesome drinks with my best friend! They also treated me with a lovely birthday dessert! I definitely will come back again, especially because she was so helpful If I could, I would give 10 out of 10 stars

Daniella was our server this evening and she was so kind! We had the steak and frites, and the filet with crab. Both were absolutely incredible. We ordered the salted caramel cheesecake, and our server brought us the sticky toffee pudding on the house. Absolutely amazing and highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert!!! Thank you Daniella for making our dinner extra special!

1st time going to this restaurant, I ended up selecting the ribeye. It was cooked to the perfect level of hot pink core but it really didn’t do much for me in the flavor department. The majority of the flavor was only in the fat, the rest of the ribeye was pretty “meh”, and personally I found it to be underwelming. Unfortunately I have an aversion to sending food back so I just sucked it up and finished my plate. Everyone else in my party liked their food, and the service and atmosphere were top notch. I’ll likely go again and try something else, but I’ll stick to other places for ribeye.
