This place was amazing! The food, drinks, and service. Everything down to the chips and salsa was amazing. The Jamaica is some of the best I’ve ever had and was only 6 bucks for a large. The tacos were amazing. Definitely on the bigger side. The atmosphere was calm, and the entire restaurant was clean. You can tell a lot of work was put into this place. WOULD RECOMMEND!

Come here to eat GREAT food. Start off with the best salsa I have ever eaten with homemade chips made from homemade tortillas. The birra tacos are spot on. They have an array of salsas to complement the dishes. My favorite is the green. They deserve more than a 4.9. Ice Cold beer and frozen glasses. Added the fresh handmade churros and caramel sauce was best in class!!!

I have come here several times with my Family. Every time the restrant is extremely clean and peaceful! The food is absolutely amazing! You can tell that all plates are made fresh to order! It doesn’t matter if you order the Tacos Monarca! Or Mango Ceviche! It’s all AMAZING! The owners are usually working the floor and are pleasantly friendly. We also get great chips and around 4 different salsa (if you ask) which are all amazing as well! Give this place a try you will not be let down!!!

Monarca Mexican Restaurant in Palm Springs offers a very enjoyable dining experience overall. The atmosphere is warm and lively, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The menu has a nice variety of traditional Mexican dishes with a modern twist, and the food we tried was flavorful and well presented.

Service was friendly and attentive, though at times it felt a bit busy. The margaritas were well made and definitely a highlight. Dishes like the fresh guacamole and the entrées were satisfying and nicely seasoned.

While not absolutely perfect, the combination of good food, pleasant ambiance, and welcoming staff makes Monarca a solid choice in Palm Springs. Worth visiting if you’re in the area and in the mood for Mexican food.

This was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress Rosa was sweet and took great care of us. I had tacos and my boyfriend had the flautos, we both could not get over how tasty and amazing the food was. The icing on the cake was dessert, flan and churros, fantastico!!!
We will be going back.

My hubby and I decided to try this place near our home on a Saturday evening about 6 pm. It’s a storefront near Landau and Ramon Ave. It was about half full. The decor was non-existent – no pictures, paintings, wall hangings or other absorbent surfaces, so the noise level was high. The chips were good – they seemed to be homemade and the salsa was spicy. Napkins were not on the table, so what to do with your greasy fingers? The staffing was light – one server and 2 cooks for 10 tables. Hubby ordered the green chicken enchilada plate and I ordered red with shredded beef. There was one table ahead of us, but it took 25 minutes to get our meal. When we finally got them (which were basically dish-up), they were barely lukewarm. The server was very pleasant – fault was with the cooks. Despite ample servings, the red sauce was bland and the beef chewy and unseasoned. The beans were out of a can. Hubby’s green sauce was nicely spicy but also lukewarm with bland chicken.
There are several good choices for Mexican food in the area but this isn’t one of them.
