We recently ate at Monalessa’s Kitchen and honestly, everything exceeded our expectations. We ordered the okra, butter chicken, the chef’s special curry (Indian spice level), and garlic naan — and every single dish was outstanding.

The butter chicken was incredibly rich and flavorful, with a smooth, perfectly balanced sauce that wasn’t overly heavy. The chef’s special curry had amazing depth and just the right amount of heat at the Indian spice level — bold, aromatic, and clearly made with care. The okra was a huge surprise in the best way possible — perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and not greasy. And the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and packed with flavor, making it impossible to stop eating.

We’ve tried similar dishes at several other Indian restaurants, and Monalessa’s Kitchen has easily been the best so far. The food tastes homemade, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared.

What really made the experience special, though, was the people. The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming. The owner’s wife treated us like family, which you don’t see often anymore. You can tell this is a place run by good, honest, hardworking people who truly care about their customers and their food.

Highly recommend giving this place a try — we’ll absolutely be coming back.

We came here on Christmas Eve, and it was one of the few places open, and we’re so lucky to find them! The Indian food was absolutely amazing, the best I’ve had, and everything tasted fresh, rich, and clearly made with love.

The chicken curry special was very delicious, and the breads were phenomenal. The next day, we decided to come back again and tried the grilled platter, which was incredible. The owner told us it was cooked in an authentic tandoor shipped from India, and you can really taste the difference. The meats were juicy, smoky, and full of flavor.

It’s a family-run restaurant, and you can truly feel the warmth and hospitality. They made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. Another big plus: all the meat is halal, which we really appreciated.

Highly recommend this place!

Nice quiet place for some great Indian food! First time trying Indian food, recommended by a review on TikTok (@caitethegreat) of this restaurant which made me and my friend want to try it! We ordered the combination platter as an app, flavorful plate of 2 different types of chicken, lamb, and salmon. Only downside on the app was the portion size, about a chunk of each that was split between me and my friend but nonetheless does not hinder my 5 star review! For our entree, we ordered chicken tikka marsala and butter chicken both with medium spice and rice on the side with garlic naan. 10/10 for everything, entrees were flavorful and perfect amount of spice, plus everything was made to order which is great in my opinion, absolutely was not a bad wait for any of the food to come. Our waitress was the sweetest girl, and the owners were very down to earth and grateful for our business! Most definitely going to come back, well worth the experience and taste.

Finally got over to Monalessa’s and it did not disappoint. Went with my family, my daughter and girlfriend loved it. I’m more familiar with Indian food then they are so we played it safe and got mild spice in our dishes, I think next time I wanna go for a little spicier for mine because everything is cooked to order so if you want spicy you have to let them know. We started with there veggie Samosas, I could have eaten another order of them they were so good, didn’t get a picture cause we ate them right away. We got some garlic naan with Butter chicken and Coconut Curry Lamb for our main course and they were very flavorful with plenty of rice to accompany our dishes. Mango lassi was sweet and refreshing and perfect pairing to our meals. Already can’t wait to go back !

Tried Monalessa’s for the first time. Went with the Chicken Curry Special. Asked for Spicy and they told me they gave me Medium. It was my first time, so I guess they were concerned with my spice tolerance. Medium was good, could have handled spicy. The flavor was excellent. Chicken was cooked well. The lemon rice was good. Had an order of garlic naan bread as well. The bread was excellent. Really enjoyable when dipped in the curry sauce. Service was okay. One server had 4 tables and he was doing his best. I had a considerable wait for my check, which ended up being a little awkward. Other than that, the food was good.

Got take out for the first time tonight. Place was busy (good sign). Staff was friendly and food came out close to estimated time. Food was absolutely delicious. Lamb was tender and everything has great flavor. Will definitely be back to try more dishes

Only writing this .. as I had such a stomach burn after eating the food. I regret to have spent my time and energy in getting to the restaurant.

I’m a visitor in this city, and being Indian couldn’t handle the spice levels, I understand that most Indian restaurants here usually keep spice levels mild. Hence, I had ordered my dish “spicy,” and it turned out to be unbearably hot — to the point that it brought tears to my eyes. The manager did come over and offered to make something else much later, but by then I had already eaten a little and didn’t want to wait for another dish, especially since I’m traveling and it would likely go to waste.

The service was quite slow, especially when it came to getting the bill. I was already tired and just wanted to leave. The manager spoke to me but didn’t address the main issue — adjusting the bill for the food I couldn’t eat. I would have really appreciated if he had taken that into account.

Very basic Indian food – definitely not tasty at all nor authentic.. I order vindaloo .. they gravy was nothing close to it.

The girl who taken my order was friendly and helpful though.

Everything was AMAZING! The best Indian food we have ever had. The shrimp curry was so fresh, and the perfect amount of spice. Islam was the best server ever, so informative and just happy to make sure we had the best experience. He took the time to talk to us all about the place and also explain that there an item on the menu that honors his friend who passed. 1000/10 experience, we will be back!!

The food is amazing! It’s made fresh to order so it takes a little extra time which was 100% worth it! This is an updated review because I had to go back already. I got the special chicken curry and the shrimp curry. The pictures do it no justice. If you watch food network, they call Maneet the spice queen, but Monaleesa’s would give her stiff competition. We also got Naan bread which crispy and light, absolutely perfect. The paneer is delicious. Their sauces are phenomenal. The mixed grill does not disappoint with juicy and flavorful meat. We will definitely be back. Also, they serve bottled spring water instead of tap for no extra. In the pictures you see the samosas (veggie), and onion pakora. I don’t love onions, but I love the pakora!
