Reviews
The meal was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome, as always. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, perfect for our Nana’s 90th birthday celebration!
We’re grateful for the wonderful experience and want to make it clear that we hold this restaurant in high regard. Thank you all for your kindness and commitment to great food and customer service!
I should start off by stating this is a somewhat reply and correction of the latest review before mine. This individual has no bearing on the actual persons that coordinated and planned the private event that was mentioned.
This venue was chosen specifically for the guest of honor that was turning 90 years old, my Nana. My Nana has been dining there since it first opened decades ago. To this day my nana and her children still are dining there regularly for a reason.
The review that was stated by an individual had no place to say such uneducated and untrue statements about this establishment. They were included merely out of obligation to the event in question, that’s neither here nor there.
Also, I would like to state that I have been in the restaurant/ bar industry since I was a kid. I have done front of house from hosting, serving, bartending, management back of house, I’ve had the privilege to learn and watched from professional chefs and cooks. Also to mention my extensive experience has been over many states in this country. I have worked from American fare to fine dining and I can promise you this individual wouldn’t recognize or know quality basic ingredients even at basic American Fair or otherwise.
I am posting this/responding out of respect and honesty for this establishment. This establishment is professional, ingredients fresh and dishes with those ingredients made to professional industry degree.
Thank you for taking the time to read this out of pure decency for a kind and hard-working restaurant owner and staff.
The layout for their “buffet style” brunch left something to be desired honestly. Each dish of food was laid out onto a table without any way of keeping it warm/cool depending on what it was. The salad was okay, nothing to write home about. The fruit bowl did not have very many fruits in it… only grapes, melon and a TON of pineapple from what I can recall. Moving on to the large platter of scrambled eggs which were cold, the French toast my daughter said tasted cold as well… The bacon and sausage also was room temperature.
Moving onto the penne pasta and chicken parm… again COLD. My husband had waited till they brought out a HOT platter of chicken parm only for it ALSO BE COLD!
For dessert, the cake they had was rather hard and apparently had raisins in it… I barely could take a bite of that after realizing how hard it was. The rice pudding was okay, but not the greatest.
As you can see overall I was extremely disappointed with my one and only experience here. I don’t plan to return for future parties as this was a huge turn off. I’m a foodie (as you can tell from my profile) and my husband, daughter and myself eat out frequently… this was just a disappointment. Maybe you’ll like it, but my little family sure didn’t.
I will say, our waitress did a phenomenal job. She was great. Very on top of things.
This place has potential but the owners should pay some attention and clean the walls, and update the dining area.
Though staff were pleasant the food was really disappointing.
I most often get the fillet mignon ($44). It is superb! It is cooked just as I asked. It is practically melt in your mouth tender and flavorful . I also like the pasta dishes. The sauce is made fresh. I think they may even make their own pasta. For the last 12 months or so, this is the only place I’ve been eating out at
The service was friendly and quite efficient.
The food was really, really good. I had the Veal Sorrentino and it was fantastic. I would definitely order this delicious meal again. The rest of our group ordered several different items off the menu (burgers, chicken sandwich, etc.) and everyone left happy.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to return.
