Beautiful Polynesian-themed restaurant serving classic Chinese-American favorites. I ordered the stir-fried beef with green beans from the lunch specials, and it was flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. The restaurant is known for its timeless dishes like orange-flavored beef, spicy pork, and Kung Pao-style meats—comforting staples done right. If you’re craving a nostalgic, satisfying meal in a fun, tropical setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The color of the food they gave me is complete charcoal. I’m gonna report it to the health department. This place was so great and now they’re selling black food like my Chinese food is completely black. That means oil burned. That’s mean somebody doesn’t know how to cook absolutely disgrace. Do not get close to this place. It used to be one of my favorite.

I had the beef and bean curd (Tofu). The food was cooked fine, beef could have been slightly more tender. But it was the most bland Chinese food I had ever had, I do not know how they manage to achieve the appropriate color while being so flavorless. You couldn’t even taste soy sauce, let alone ginger or any spices or other flavors you would typically find in Chinese cuisine. Something positive I could say is the portion size was large

I also had the chicken fingers and beef teriyaki which were no more than acceptable typical Americanized Chinese food

We were visiting friends that lived in the area and booked a reservation for dinner here. We have been here a couple of times, decades ago. It’s a large Chinese restaurant with your typical Chinese Polynesian fare. There was a fountain in the lobby area and the people working there were friendly.

My husband got a scorpion bowl to share and it was good, a nostalgic drink. For food, I opted for the appetizer combo which came with chicken wings, crab rangoons, fried rice, and boneless spare ribs. Everything was good except for the boneless spare ribs; it was dry and flavorless. The other items saved this dish, so I gave them 3 stars overall.

The atmosphere is what really makes it worth visiting. The service was also excellent! I found some of the food was really done well. The Baby Back Ribs were cooked perfectly. They had a great char and were very tender. They make solid finger food appetizers. Not bursting with flavor, but they weren’t bad. The Lobster Sauce had the old school texture and plenty of pork. It was good, but lacking flavor. The Hot and Sour Soup was much different than the traditional Hot and Sour Soup. It was sweet and tangy. Overall the experience was good. I think it’s the atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

They can’t all be five stars. But that’s a little bit my fault. I wanted to try the duck and forgot I was in a place that most likely kept the duck they bought at opening day of the restaurant because no one is buying the duck . But, the service was A plus and so wasn’t the atmosphere. The rice and other food was good too, but I gotta be up front about the duck, do not buy the duck lol

One of the worst hot and sour soup I have ever had. Overly thick. Burnt off flavor and almost ketchup like sweetness to it. Chewey general gao chicken. Somewhat drowned in again overly thick sauce not enough broccoli, cooked too dark as well. Over a fairly insignificant fried rice.
It is an old place and that has some value to it. Service was ok considering it was a holiday.
Definitely cannot recommend it.
Sign of the times, they charge $1.00
for fried noodles to go with the duck sauce and mustard placed on the table. All the chinese restaurants I have eaten at they give a better version usually for free.

I can hear because I heard a good feedback about this place and how could the food is so I drove over 40 minutes to give it a try And before I pick up the order I asked and I make sure that there’s nothing else missing.
They told me that they get everything on the back and by the time I get back home guess what My order wasn’t complete and when I asked I’ll come back and pick it up and try to speak to a manager he just wasn’t there I had to talk to cashier and the only thing they offer not even a free dinner Guess what they offer a creditfor your next time. They still did not get the point that I’m not from around here and I give some time to think about it in my way back which is another 40 minutes. Is it worth it to drive that far to drive your food is it that great It could but for customer service forget about it that’s how you take care of their customers think twice before you drive or way there

This was arguably not very good at all. Everything was very bland it was very surprising considering the color of everything. I will not be going back. My favorite part was the duck sauce they served with the crab ragoons. Our waitress was nice but considering the prices the food should be way better.

Been coming here over 30yrs, always for a special treat, their Crab Rangoon’s. Well I got a craving for them and ordered a rice and crab rangoons, I know they are expensive $23 for an appetizer and rice but I love them and I’m splurging and driving all the way over there for my food. (A friend picked it up for me)
I get the food and I am very disappointed there’s hardly any filling in them, it’s all crispy wonton, Look at them, there’s pics. I figured I’d call them since I took pics if they asked to see them. Well the guy answers and I ask for Manager, which I think he lies and said he was the manager. I told him how long I’ve been going here and I get the crab rangoons and there’s hardly any filling in them, he’s telling me well usually they are filled all the time, I said yes I know, I don’t know what happened here, maybe not enough food or someone just having a bad day and I would like a refund for the rangoons, I will pay for the rice. He hardly listened to me and told me No, I said I can send u pics, he said No as he didn’t believe me. I asked as a loyal customer and the right thing to do is refund the money. He said Nope if u would’ve brought it back in then they could refund. Anyways I was very disappointed w the food and the attitude and how rude the person on the phone was. Basically tellin me, we don’t need you as a customer anymore and fk u. Well now they lost this Crab Rangoon girl
