Mon Amie Morning Café
Such a quaint and intimate place perfect for intentional conversations or even a kind exchange with a stranger.
I visited yesterday with my best friend, and although there was a short wait, we were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered the American Bacon Cheddar Burger with Yukon Gold Home Potatoes. Our food arrived in about 12–15 minutes, beautifully presented.
The burger was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious the toasted bun was perfect! But the Yukon potatoes stole the show; cooked to perfection and served generously. I’d choose them over French fries any day.
The staff was pleasant, kind, patient, and full of Christmas spirit. And to top it all off, when we asked for the check, our waitress told us our entire bill had been paid for.
This café may look small from the outside, but it’s overflowing with warmth and kindness on the inside. Highly recommended!

Great southern style French breakfast. Full of flavor. No complaints whatsoever. Very pleased with the service and the food. Decor is s bit rough but not terrible. I really like this place. Try the ribeye crepe. Best ever.

Mon Amie Cafe is hands down a superior breakfast and brunch spot. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The shrimp and grits were absolutely on point — perfectly seasoned, rich, and flavorful without being heavy. The bananas foster pancakes were unique and genuinely delicious, with just the right balance of sweetness and indulgence. And the Reuben? Outstanding. One of the best I’ve had — piled high, perfectly toasted, and packed with flavor.
On top of the amazing food, the service was impeccable. Our server, Jennifer, was an absolute sweetheart — attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for a brunch spot that delivers on both quality and service, Mon Amie Cafe is it. Highly recommend! Sweet or savory- they have something for everyone in your party.

The food was so great. They place was packed but there was only a very short wait. There were little signs inside that pretty much very politely said to get out when you are done eating your food, which I very much appreciate because I am an American and lingering at the table is a French thing to do…speaking of that…this place needs a serious rebrand. It has the absolute weirdest 90’s tacky fake French vibe. I’m really not trying to be mean, it’s so ugly in there. I really hate to say it because the food is so good We will be back for sure because the food is what’s the most important.

It’s a small but very popular place, so it can get pretty busy. A check-in system could really help improve the experience and avoid long lines. That said, the food is amazing and definitely worth the wait.

This place is an absolute joke. We came in and were told that we can only be sat at a communal table with other people. We absolutely don’t like that so we decided to wait for a normal table. After 30 mins we were seated. It took them over 20 minutes to get our order and when it came out it was very mediocre. Here’s the kicker though, just as I put my fork down, a person who I assume is the owner or manager (older woman) came and told us we have to leave, that they need the table. Really? After waiting to order, food taking a while , they don’t even give you a chance to finish chewing your food. Horrible experience. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!

Excellent hideaway in east Spartanburg! Authentic Parisian vibe, amazing crepes and fantastic coffee. I wanted a quick American breakfast when I happened upon Mon Ami, and soon realized I needed to slow down to French pace and enjoy this. I got the Best Crepe Ever (delicious shaved ribeye, sweet & hot chutney and dill sauce on the side). Service with a smile, lots of staff here, a real find. I’ll definitely be back and if you’re considering it, stop thinking and go!

This spot definitely piqued my interest—the menu sounded fun and the photos had my stomach rumbling. We arrived around 9 a.m. to find a line already forming outside, always a promising sign. Luckily, we only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The place is on the smaller side, but it has a cozy, welcoming vibe.
I went with the Crêpe-o-icious—a cute name with decent flavor, but it didn’t quite wow me. I also ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream, and sadly, that was a letdown. It lacked the creamy richness I was hoping for and leaned more watery and bitter than indulgent.
My husband ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich, which he found just okay—not bad, not great. It came with fries dusted in powdered sugar, which he wasn’t a fan of, but I actually thought they were surprisingly good—a quirky twist that kind of worked.
On the bright side, the service was solid, and our food came out quickly. All in all, it was a fun experience, but not quite the standout we’d hoped for. Still, worth a visit if you’re in the area and curious to try something different.
